I do not know what he is up to.

Too many of his relatives (his mother's AND father's sides) have dx'ed alzheimer's but he brings that up/talks about once in awhile.

And as in my Mom's family, a good deal of mood disorders too.

Default Having a Really Hard Time

At work, even when I am not tired, I feel off -- I think
that the depression is messing with my brain's ability to focus.

=-=-

A little while ago when I was brushing my teeth,
I closed my eyes to focus sort of and saw one of those little hallucinations.

Sometimes I can remind myself that it is just my mind playing games and I can ignore it.
But this was a scary one and now I am not going to bed.

Depression can certainly effect your ability to focus and can be extremely disruptive. I'm sorry that you're having a hard time with it, Mari

I remember you saying that your sleep doc mentioned you may have narcolepsy... do you think it's possible that you had a microsleep episode and you had that "hallucination" because you are prone to episodes associated with sleep like that?

Yes. Certainly.
. . . but the test for Narcolepsy is two days, the second day is in complete darkness!!!

It sounds like someone thought through the worst way to torment people in this group.
I wonder how many folks agree to that second day!

When I had it done (about 17 years ago), it was for one day following a regular sleep study, and that was bad enough. I don't blame you for not wanting to go through that ****

I know that you have tried Ritiln, but have you ever tried Adderral or Provigil?

So far everything I have tried has either given me or anxiety, nausea, or stomach pain.

I am on a break from trying new stuff.

That is completely understandable, especially since you've just returned to work

I hope that things are going better for you right now, Mari

Default angry at hubby

I am sooo angry that Hubby has shown no interest in a Category 3 Hurricane
a few days away from the East Coast.

He grudgingly (like pulling teeth) cooperated when I asked that he help
me dig around in the boxes in his junk room for the
flashlights, batteries, radios, and similar.

The storm is a category 3 that is expected
to reach category 4 and we are under a Hurricane Watch--- 48 hours in advance
of the anticipated onset of tropical-storm-force winds.
