Yes, Talk to them more.

If you prefer, you could put forth your issues by phone calls the day before therapy.

I have found that the phone call often lays the groundwork (or takes care of the whole thing) for when I get to the in-person visit.
The in-person visit can reinforce what you said on the phone.

(I am struck by the fact that you are their first person who had a stroke. You
are basically teaching them.) Teach. Preach. Yell.

I have a feeling i will do better without p.t. for my legs. I will see how this week goes. One of the women I worked with was just a student. I guess I am angry, when I am angry I sometimes show poor judgment.

I am the same way. And I show poor judgement when I'm anxious, too.

On another thread you mentioned there is a PT at this center named James (?) who you spoke to over the phone, who said he is experienced with stoke patients. Maybe you could give him a try before throwing in the towel...

I think you should ask for a complete reevaluation. They should be agreeable to that.

I don't know. I just read this By not moving arthritic joints, however, the stiffness and pain only get worse. Therefore, people with arthritis often benefit from physical therapy. A physical therapist can teach you how to work out stiffness without further damaging your joint.Apr 21, 2
One knee bothers me from arthritis. the other leg bothers me from the stroke, I guess o have to search more on the net for exercises for arthritis on the knee. it is bothering right now. If joints are too inflamed, it is best to rest completely or decrease the exercises during the first two to three days; pushing through arthritic pain causes damaging effects. CONTINUE READING

That is something you could ask a PT for further guidance about because some of the things you read can be contradictory.
