Hi all - Happy Weekend! What are your plans? How is everyone feeling?
I am doing okay. Have to go to my PCP's office today to pick up a script. She is upping my oxy from 10mg 2x a day to 20mg 2x a day, to keep my spine/back pain away and hopefully the headaches too. I am starting to feel like myself again. That's a scary thought - LOL Just still tired and a bit stressed, but what else is new. Tonight Dirk and I are going out to dinner with another couple. So far my headaches have subsided, keeping my finger's crossed. Using my night guard, but this morning it wasn't in my mouth, found it on the side of my bed, must of taken it out during the night. My mom is okay, we talked and she knows not to touch my meds, although now they won't be around for her to get into anyway. She said the oxy knocked her out and now she is afraid which is good. It doesn't have that effect on me. In fact it's like taking a vitamen because it is time released so you don't feel anything, just no pain. Have a great weekend.....................Nikko |

Good for you Nikko! Go and get some outside stimulus with another couple. Todd and I gotta start doing that, but we haven't met the right couple yet.
As for your mom, still get that lockbox. Just to be on the safe side. Now as for me. Work, well, was work. I love being back but I totally underestimated how tiring it would be both physically and mentally. I forgot little things like how a simple lowering of the temp by putting the AC on would make me feel anxious. Of course when I get anxious I make mistakes and boy I have made my share this week. Yes I know is only my first week, but you all know how it is. Gotta be perfect right off. Everyone here has been really nice and its a good place to work. This weekend is definitely going to help me. I need a good rest. I tell you without the medicinal support of depakote I don't think I would be here at all. And you guys too!

Get lots of R & R this weekend!
The first couple of weeks are tiring, but you will be back in the groove soon. Don't expect to not make mistakes, we all do, but I know we all want to be our best always. Your doing great - hang in there! Nikko |

Hi Nikko and Wendy.
Nikko, I would still get the lock box. I think that Doug's step-son is robbing him blind in everything from money to Doug's minutes on Doug's cell phone. Doug would never believe it because he loves his step-son but I am beginning to see too many things that are not right. Wendy, did I ever ask you where you were working? I'll try to look that post up where you talked about getting the job. I've been exhausted this past week myself and am so glad today I get a break from Doug. I know that sounds awful but his door has been shut all day today. His step son may be in there doing drugs for all I know. I've learned not to trust him. I went to school today and then grocery shopping. I plan to go to bed very early tonight. Tomorrow a girfriend of mine will be coming by who has never been to visit me before. I am looking forward to it. befuddled2 |

I am glad you're feeling better Nikko, hope it lasts, I agree with the others about the lock box, it's for her safety and yours. I hope you have a great time tonight.
Glad you're working now Wendy! I bet it will be something you'll get used to son and won't be feeling as tired in a couple weeks, I hope so at any rate. Good for you on getting back out there. I'm sorry that you're seeing that kind of thing happening to Doug BF. I am sure it's hard to witness such stuff happening. I'm sorry Doug is still suffering, I hope things get better for him soon. And for you too! I got a LOT done today on my new book. I got 50 pages written and that's no small feat. I would say it's one quarter of the way finished, as it's a young adult novel I am aiming for around 200 pages or 45K words. I put out about 10K today, since Jackie got up at 5:30 and I was able to write a bit. And he's been really good today so I managed to get a lot done. I doubt it will last enough for me to get the book done in a week like I know I could, but I got a lot done and I'm pleased with that.

Bless you all to get the most out of the weekend. Wendy get rested, Nikkow, glad your feeling better, Everyone enjoy some R and R,
Trying to keep things more enjoyable. Will take a train ride in Scranton to take some stress off. My son is still stresseed but at least is feeling a little safer. I hope it will just take time, but the reason he was out os because he wanted to talk to someone about De, He will talk to the counselor De had, also finish medical test for his heart and the seizures he has had. Hugs and love to all dianne
