So you are definitely more likely to bruise easily if you bump yourself lightly without noticing it at the time… I don't think if it hurts because you push on it that's worrisome, I would be concerned if it hurt without touching it.

he is going to see me at 2:15 this wednesday. It doesn't hurt without touching it and it is getting better.

I'm glad the bruise is getting better, but I'm glad you're going. It's better to be safe than sorry.

Maybe he will draw some blood to check your platelets, et cetera.

the later appointment was scheduled to go over my blood test. I don't think he has to check it again since it was recent. he said the appt wasn't urgent. I slept on the floor one night and both women don't vacuum so that is where the itchiness might have come from. lol

the doctor discounted the itchiness and black and blue and said he would read the article later but pooh poohed it. he said if there were blood in my urine or stools that would be different.

Yeah, aside from one occasion, anytime I've brought a doctor something to read they've dismissed it.

Did he draw any blood or anything? Or did he just take your copay, pat you on your head, and send you on your way?

he told me to get an eye exam and dismissed everything else. he said he would read the article and he hadn;t read the results of the ultrasound/ I don't pay a copay/. I have supplementary insurance. He scared me to death about the eye exam. I was waiting for the driver's license to come up

I have low platelets and sometimes this happens.
I've had this condition a very long time.
Platelets are what helps us to clot normally.
I can get bruises like that when my counts are down.
Sometimes certain medications can cause low platelets ... probably dosage related.
If you are taking something that can cause this...I would inquire about a reduction in dosage.
If you continue to bruise, you might want to get a CBC.
You are right...vitamin K can help with bruising!
I think some people just bruise easier than others...might not necessarily be any "condition" at all.
My multi has a nice amount of "K" in it and on occasion, I'll take a little more separately.
I also rub arnica cream on my bruises. It does seem to help.
I have vitamin K cream as well. I use this now and then. I think it helps, but I think the arnica creme works better.
Oh...another thing that helps me with bruising is green leafy vegetables...especially juicing. Not blending...juicing, which removes the pulp.
Hope you get this sorted out and feel better.
