im type 2. i basically limit my meals to 20 to 55 carbs per. whole grain breads. the higher the whole grain count the better. i usually eat breakfast n lunch. i eat plenty of fish as well for the protein. red meats included. i dont fry that much anymore. i have a nuwave oven so i usually bake now. i can cook a frozen 1" tbone med rare in about 25-30 mins. if i dont eat dinner which i rarely do i just drink a bottle or two of glucerna shakes (they come in the short blue bottles not the taller green ones) the green bottle types taste like chalk lol

i dont count calories really. i mean frying with oil will raise calories if flour is used of course as will carbs. since white flour is processed from wheat flour (bleached). i am aiming for 180-185 mainly. then see how my health improves overall. since my diabetes and scoliosis are huge factors in my state of current health. i can already feel the difference. i used to wear 40x32s now i have to wear belts on my 38x32 pants lol. i eat plenty of fish like salmon (skin on), tuna, etc all baked with lemon seasonings or old bay seasoning. i cant do much excercise because of my bad case of scoliosis. i cant walk far without my lumbar spine feeling terribly sore. plus my cervical spine has a defect from what my neurosurgeon told me. a normal person has 6 vertebrae in their cervical spine or neck. he says i have 7. plus my thoracic spine is slipping off to one side from what he and i saw in a few xray ct scans.

I see why you have lots of incentive to lose weight.
Being type 2 diabetes, many lose weight and can lower their medication usage or even get off of it if they lose enough weight. Maybe that would happen to you? Wouldn't that be great!

Well I am very happy.
I had enough motivation to actually clean off my bathroom counter. It took an hour but it is so much cleaner. There was so much cat hair and dust, I threw some stuff away. I have an antique wooden small shutter with a thin handle that opens and shuts the slats. It was filthy. so I took it to the kitchen and scrubbed each slat and rinsed it off. nice and clean looking. I threw out a huge sprig of eucalyptus that was blueish in color, it was growing cat hair! I could not clean that off so decided to throw it away and not replace it. the counter looks fine with out it. I have a little white vase that holds some dried purple statice flowers, that goes with the purple accents of the counter/bathroom. I will shake out the rug and leave the floor for another time.
We are to go to lunch before getting my hair high lighted at 1pm.
Jeff is finishing up the trim on the new bedroom window after he filled the nail holes with wood filler sanded them and now putting the final coat on.
It has been a couple of weekends project, he will be glad when he is done.
Off to shake out the bathroom rug. The floor is disgusting.
