The exercises should be helping your hip at this point, not hurting it, and doing upper body work properly shouldn't bother it. I think an X-Ray is a good idea. I think most chiropractors would do one before they work on an area like that, but you may want to go through your GP in case your end up needing an ortho referral. You could always take a copy of the X-Ray to the chiropractor later if you don't need to see an ortho and you decide to go that route.

I'm glad that your house is clean! I guess it's a good and a bad thing that you had to chip in
