repeated heart burn or gerd can cause issues with your esophagus that can lead to cancer. I wonder which one is more at risk?

I take a prescription med called Protonix that my gastro has put me on permanently because the OTCs didn't work. It's really helped me. It's something worth talking to your PCP about. I also take Gaviscon tablets for breakthrough heartburn. It's 100X better than Tums.

I used to take Nexium also. For some reason I one day just didn't
need it anymore. So I don't take anything now. Donna

I am trying to diet, but I still get heartburn. I get a little heartburn at first, then it becomes much worse if I don't take care of it immediately in the beginning when I first experience the symptoms. BF
