Is not the news saying that they would remove Social Security Disability from even those who are disabled? BF

I am disabled. It sounds like they would jerk the rug out from under me if they can.(( From what I've heard on the news. ))

Yes. I was legally proven disabled with a lawyer, and a judge in a Social Security hearing around 7 years ago.

The case is sealed in a lawyers office. I have social workers helping me. I have been on medications steadily for years, but especially in the last 10 years.

This schizoaffective disorder, which was diagnosed after the Social Security hearing, may be a factor of what is continuing to freak me out. I surely don't know.

I cannot get it out of my mind. It's in the back of my mind. BF

Please don't buy into the things you are hearing in the news. They are scare tactic being used on the most venerable; the sick and elderly.

You are safe and you have all the proof, doctors, etc. You will continue getting all the benefits you now have. Please try to stop dwelling on these thoughts. What you fear will not happen.

Did you read what the magnet on my frig reads:
... Give your problems to God.
''''He's up all night anyway.

BF; might be a good idea to get in touch with your doctor. He may be able to help you thru this episode.

Take care dear friend...

Thank you all for helping through this holiday weekend. Thank you for assuring me that I won't loose my benefits.

Thank you Gerry for reminding me that God is up all night for me.

The illness I've been talking about has burdened me for years. It is a most cruel illness that I never understood. The torment is awful. This is why I never had a good job, but I worked in a supermarket for 15 years. I was bullied, and talked about behind my back, and they told me lies.

I'll probably call my councilor tomorrow. My case manager stopped working for region 10, and I don't know why. I could have used her help. I didn't know that she was going to leave region 10. She was there for around 3 years. They will appoint another case manager for me I'm sure. BF

BF,

Gerry tells you the truth. The government will take care of you.
Keep re-reading what Ger told you here.
Call your doctor for extra help during this time.

=-=-
This money thing with the government might not be settled for a long
time,
so this means that the talk might continue.
This folks on TV will keep beating it like it is a dead horse.

=-=
Can you get some extra medication from the nurse or extra sessions with your counselor?

I am pulling for you. I want you to be ok.

Find something you like and put some thoughts into that.

Thank you so much Geri

Mari and Bobby are right… these issues probably won't be solved and any possible changes won't kick in for a long time. By then you will probably be over 65

I think you will be fine BF…
I think the SSDI beneficiaries being targeted are those who are possibly abusing the system- not you, and you can prove it, and
I think the idea about Medicade is the same, and to make beneficiaries who CAN work work- also not you, and you can prove it
