Thank you! It was pretty easy to walk away.
I decided it was too expensive to buy a new car. Would not have gotten enough for my trade in. $7,000 when I think it is worth $8,500. It is in excellent shape. I need to look at other sites dealerships in surrounding areas to see if we could get a better deal. So more home work, no quick decisions. My current car payments are $252 a month. The new car would be $388 a month. So a big jump. I only have about 19 payments before my car is paid off.  If I want to get a new car, now is the time to do that. I think my car is in excellent condition. We are having a tree taken out of the back yard at the end of this month. That is $1500. Then the bill for the new bed came in. $200 a month payment for 2 years=$3850 total so that was expensive. I still really like my car. I just thought that I would get better gas mileage, slow down my driving etc. anyway. You will definitely do better if you look around and wait until you make more payments on your current car. There are websites out there where you can find the hottest deals for different car brands (including specials some run for higher payments for trade ins)... maybe you can search for one for Toyota. I would start by searching the Toyota site first...

I looked into other cars in the area, only 2-3 red cars in the state.
lowest one was about $350 a month....but would not know for sure until all of the paper work is completed. And they know you are serious about the car. I was hoping to spend around $300 a month...maybe have to finance it for 6 years. I think it was an exercise in control. I wanted to prove to myself that I was able to NOT buy that car. So when I stood up and said that I would have to do number crunches at home and was beginning to walk away, Jeff was all apologetic to the sales man, embarrassed that I had just gotten up, they closed at 7 and it was 8pm. In the car, I told him it was their job to try to sell us cars. He was a nice enough man. The price was just too high. Bizi proud that I did not make another car mistake...

Tonight jeff brought me flowers. Tomorrow we celebrate our 21st wedding anniversary.
We have dinner reservations for 6:30pm at Cafe Vermillionville. I already know what I am having. Crab and corn bisque soup strawberry spinach salad rainbow trout Chocolate desert of some sort or key lime pie. both sound great. I am going to a meet and greet at a wellness center tomorrow at 4pm. Looking at having a brown spot on my face removed. It is a spa of sorts and Dr. Kelly Cob will be my internist. I will have my wellness exam with her in december. bizi

How are there only 2-3 red cars in the state of Louisiana?
Why don't you stop looking for cars for the time being until a dealership holds a big sale? Congratulations on your anniversary! I hope you have a lovely dinner! Your meal sounds delicious! It was sweet of Jeff to buy you flowers Corey used to bring me some every now and then, but had to stop because the cats would always get to them, eat them, and throw up

Only 3 cars of the prius-c model that I was looking at are in LA.
I think I will put the idea of buying a new car to rest, for now. I really like my car and am not fond of change as you all know. I have had increased picking again, eating out-weight gain, drinking, internet usage,  sigh The goal is to live in moderation....I am not living in moderation. bizi
