Is Rexulti the Same as Abilify?

Rexulti and Ability are the same KIND of drug and are made by the same manufacturer. Chemically they are very similar. In fact, many critics contend that when the patent period expired on the extremely profitable Abilify, the manufacturer slightly altered the chemical formula and re-patented the drug as Rexulti. Because the drugs are so similar, experts are concerned that the well-known risks of Abilify also exist in Rexulti. Although the manufacturer has now been forced by the FDA to warn about the compulsive behavior associated with Abilify, these warnings are not being given to patients taking Rexulti.

I guess increased compulsive activity is a common side effect to abilify. So that would help to explain my increased hypomania symptoms.
increased eating, drinking, picking, internet....etc.
I can't believe that I was on abilify for 6 months.


My sleep is better already with the added melatonin. So I am happy about that.

I also see my TDOC as well at 10am

lunch then maybe a few clients
then NAMI.
I will go and just take it as it comes.
I have chewed the shet out of my 4th finger....
It was just starting to heal...

I’m glad you are off the Abilify...
You had more and more intense episodes

Abilify can be activating, so just lowering the dose could be helping you sleep better.

I bet it’s hard to stick out those NAMI meetings. I give you a lot of credit for hanging in there.

I had my first PT appointment. I was there 1.75 hours.
She said she thought I had bursitis of both hips. She could be right.
She had a message therapist come in and message me which felt good. then an ultrasounic device to administer lidocane and a methodine of some sort, an anti inflammatory medication. This is going to cost a fortune. I asked for an itemized list of each modality to see if I can afford therapy. They said they would call me.
Tdoc today went ok....no really in the mood.
So again, need to think about my posture.
And need better glasses
Better run I have a one oclock. She may not be home yet from a cat scan.

Thank you for your quick response to my request. I had the xrays done on my hips and knees, neck and lower back.
The first 3 areas showed signs of arthritis.
Will I receive a copy of the explanation of the arthritis, specific areas of the cervical spine, etc.?
Thank you for ordering the mobic. The celebrex I will put on hold as it is very expensive. I will wait and see if the mobic gets me a decent nights sleep.
This morning, I saw Patricia Boulet, PT.
She believes both my hips have bursitis, so she is treating me for this with ultra sound using lidocaine and some other medication. She uses message as well. This thursday I see her again and probably twice a week for a while.
I will go as long as I can afford her therapies.

Just for your information, Dr. Orazio prescribed Naltrexone one month ago to help with my alcohol issues.
I believe it may be helping a bit so far.

I think it will be good for you to get a copy of the radiologist's reports. Ask for those. I will help you with those if I can.

Your PCP will probably want an MRI to confirm the bursitis and/or send you to an ortho. You probably could decline that and decide to get treatment based on the experience of the PT. The treatment you are receiving is aggressive and appropriate (I think by the sound of it you have an excellent PT), and will probably be less expensive than 20% of the cost of the MRI….and then the same treatment you are already getting… because that's what they will probably order anyway. At least the meds she is using with the device are usually really cheap.

I hope that the PT work helps. And I think it is probably worth the $$$ because you are pretty banged up.

I'm sorry that I forgot that Celebrex is so expensive, but there are other meds out there aside from that, Mobic, and Cymbalta. See what your PCP recommends without your suggestions.

She already prescribed the mobic for me and I took it last night with all of my other meds and I was out cold until the alarm went off.
A good solid 7 1/2 hours total which is the most I have had in quite some time.
I took at her orders:

80mg of geodon
200mg of seroquel
3mg of melatonin
15mg of mobic
.25mg of klonipin

no wonder I was snowed!
I woke up with an occipital head ache that went away quickly.
I need to get going, I have to shower and get ready in half an hour.
I think I will call and tell her that I am running late. To give me more time.
My fingers are still sore after chewing on them at the NAMI meeting last night.
There was an emergency there last night, one of the facilitators was ill and almost passed out and asked to call the ambulance. I froze and did nothing.
Another woman went to his aid...after they called one for him I noticed that he was slipping while sitting up so I went and told him to lean on me to hold him upright.
I freeze up in emergency situations, I am not a very good nurse....

My morning client cancelled which was fine by me.
It gave me plenty of time to catch up on the forums and take a shower!!!!!
