I feel sick. abby is sneezing a lot. My toenail is making my shoe hurt. I keep on telling myself that maybe in a year the awful fatigue from the stroke will end.
today I start my diet again. I refuse to look at the scale. I bought hamburger and will make that for lunch and dinner. I am so very depressed. I am going to try to just read and not buy. the buying has gotten me further depressed/
I will wait to give abby the medicine. she started sneezing after I gave it to her yesterday. pudge seems to be fine.

The sneezing is probably just a reaction to the antibiotic she's on. I wouldn't worry about it too much, but for peace of mind, you could call the vet and ask tomorrow.

I'm sorry about your toe. I thought I was going to lose my big toenail too, but it managed to stay on. Maybe yours will, too

I can see how the spending could add to your depression. Reading sounds like a good distraction :hug::hug:

got her again when she was sleeping. almost got away. put out wet food but took a couple of minutes before she started eating it. I think i will wait til after the fourth to bring in a stool sample/ It is definitely better.

i am scared. Abby isn't playing. she isn;t chasing the laser. she is sitting in the sun. she has been napping all day. I am just so depressed. she is grooming herself now. I have a stomach ache and my nerves are so shot. I can;t wear shoes because of my toe nail. I wonder if she hates me because of the medication. I wonder if she needs more medication because her stools still aren't firm. I might not wait for the next psychiatrist appt. I read one of the psalms. It didn't help. now she is running away from me

abby became a little playful. my big toenail came off and i don't have any antibiotic ointment or gauze. cecilia is away but might come back tonight

Can you wear shoes in the current state of your toe?

I hope Abby is getting better.

Sometimes kitties just like to lay around a soak up the sun. She hasn't finished the antibiotics yet, so don't worry too much yet. She's probably had the infection for a while without any symptoms except the loose stools. Wait until the results of the next stool sample come back to see if the med has been effective.

You can wrap your toe with a bit of gauze (maybe with some Neosporin) and some tape to make it more comfortable, but I'm sure it will be uncomfortable with a lot of shoes for a while. Do you have any sneakers for going out, or slippers for around the apartment? I hope it feels better soon. I don't know what it looks like, but if it continues to bother you, you may want to see a podiatrist :hug::hug:

are they antibiotics that kill parasites or something else. she was really mad at me. it took her a whole day to forgive me. she even refused to play with any of her toys til evening. she still hasn't played with her laser but I haven't tried.
today all was forgiven.she let me pet her for about an hour straight. I bought today two types of toe protectors but don't know if they will work. am thinking of taping back the nail I don't know why it came off. walking around without shoes is fine.I will try sneakers. I don't have sandals.
Metronidazole is an antibiotic that is used to treat a wide variety of infections. It works by stopping the growth of certain bacteria and parasites.

This antibiotic treats only certain bacterial and parasitic infections. It will not work for viral infections (such as common cold, flu). Using any antibiotic when it is not needed can cause it to not work for future infections.

Metronidazole may also be used with other medications to treat certain stomach/intestinal ulcers caused by a bacteria (H. pylori).

I thought you said she tested positive for Giardia, which is a parasite. The treatment is the same for a bacterial infection… antibiotics.

I'm glad that she's doing better and being loving :):):)

right...she is still somewhat standoffish. what if she needs more treatment. eeks..she is not on the bed now. Pudge is
