Good luck at the ortho tomorrow.
(((((HUGS)))) bizi |
I didn't lay down on the couch yesterday, but I managed to mainly sit still. I didn't do any cleaning. Instead I watched a lot of news, and caught up on the last episodes of Rick and Morty and the new Twin Peaks. I took a late shower and an early 3 hour nap. I know the rest helped.
It figures my neck would feel a little better this morning since I'm seeing the doctor today lol. but it will still be plenty ****ed up for him tho. I put the completed paperwork they sent me, a copy of my med list, and the CD with the MRI images in my purse yesterday so I wouldn't forget anything this morning. This doctor shares an office with the ortho who did my surgery in 2009, so from past experience, I expect a long wait. I decided I'm going to buy a dust buster so hopefully, I won't be compelled to constantly sweep the floors. The last one we had was a real POS that was useless. I need a good one that is strong enough to pick up cat litter, and can hold a charge for more than 3 minutes. I've been reading reviews on Amazon (even tho I may not order from them) because I don't want to end up with another POS. The cats are being naughty and driving me crazy  Obviously the Feliway is not having a calming effect anymore... maybe they're immune to it now. |
maybe it is the weather. abby has been acting up. she has been climbing up the cabinet and then jumping up on top all day and at night. I am afraid she is going to break her neck. then she has been waiting by the dor for laser play.

I am glad you were able to sit still yesterday and watch some tv.
You have a big day today.... let us know how it goes at the ortho. ((((((HUGS)))))) bizi |
I guess the ortho, we'll call Dr. B, gave me an injection at C6-7 nerve in 2011, and it helped, so I didn't have to go back. I'll have to take his word for it because I have no memory of that at all.
He's going to do injections at C4-5 on Friday morning, and injections at C6-7 about two weeks later on the 19th. He doesn't prescribe narcotics, and there is nothing but NSAIDs he can prescribe for pain. So, I called and left a message for my pdoc saying I want to d/c the lithium. I'm in enough pain that I need to be able to at least take a ****ing Advil. I'm not going to ask her opinion, or for her permission. I'm telling her I've made the decision. We'll just have to manage any problems that may arise. Since my back was actually bothering me more than my neck this morning, I asked him about getting it looked at, and he said he could make arrangements for that. He didn't say who would be checking it out, or when, but I'll ask when I see him following the first injection. I got some **** from driving because I can't turn my neck well. Oh well. That's what all those mirrors are for. |
Really hoping this will help. I had injections in my neck about 10 years
ago I believe. Not positive when. Its worked really well but I was warned it would return in 5 years probably. I've felt very lucky for it not needing help yet. Donna :grouphug: |
Will be thinking of you friday. I hope you have some relief.

Kay,
You are my hero. I love that you are taking matters into your hands to get what you need. And you are absolutely right about MIRRORS.:D N |
I'm glad that the injections you had done worked so well for you for so long Donna (knock on wood)
I got the injection in my neck this morning... I don't remember the one shot I remember getting (lol) hurting so much, but at least the pain was short-lived. He only treated C4-5 on the right side, so there's numbness in the right side of my neck, shoulder and upper arm. I didn't arrive in good shape today, and I'm definitely very uncomfortable/don't feel good now. My pdoc said I could just stop taking the lithium because it's such a low dose (300mg), and I haven't had any since Tuesday night. So, I asked the doctor for an anti-inflammatory today and he called in a prescription for Celebrex. When I went to pick it up at the pharmacy, they told me I needed a prior auth, and should call his office. Suspicious, I searched my insurance company's website, and even the generic is a Tier 3 drug, which means it's expensive. I called his secretary and left a message to explain the situation and to ask if he could call in a PA/script for something else. PA, or a new med, I don't care... I'm not going anywhere today. I just took 800mg of Advil and I should lay down. I hope this works. |
So sorry for the expensive of the Celebrex. Not sure exactly
what it is. But I am considering asking for Cymbalta back, since I'm not taking the cancer meds any more. It helped me a lot with pain. I would have to go off Effexor xr I believe so its going to take time. Donna :grouphug: |
