Myofascial Release:

Myofascial release - Wikipedia
"The use of myofascial release as a treatment is not supported by good evidence, and using it as a replacement for conventional treatment risks causing harm."

I don't know what I'm getting into, but the physiatrist told me with these treatments, my pain will get worse before it will get better... hard to believe.

I cooked 3 meals yesterday, but I didn't do any cleaning. I relaxed and was able to take a 3 1/2 hour nap in the afternoon :)
Unfortunately, I was up at 5:30 this morning, and wasn't able to fall back asleep.

My appointment at the nail salon is early... 8:45am. I guess what I will do depends on what their response is to the fact that the polish keeps peeling off so quickly.

I will have to leave early so I can 1) get my coffee and 2) hit the ATM. They don't accept debit/credit cards, I hate writing checks, and I would rather tip the girls in cash.

I have to get in the shower now so I won't be late!

the treatment really sounds iffy. did you do a search to see if anybody else has had it and what were their results?

Happy shower and I hope your nails turn out good.
Maybe they are not cleaning off the cuticle cream and other products with acetone just prior to putting on your polish?
I have had that happen to me more than once. I have learned to ask them to do that.

Thank you for the link, Bobby.
It was nice to read about someone who had positive results from the treatment.
I'm trying to be optimistic, but...

I looked on my PCP's "patient portal" this morning, and so far I'm not seeing a referral for the doctor who is supposed to do the treatments... I will have to call Tuesday to find out if I can even see him or not because he is not in my network.

I wash my hands thoroughly before they start applying the gel polish. No chemicals are left on my nails, so that isn't the problem. I don't know what was, but I suspected the UV light box, but Chi (the owner) said they are all brand new.

I had a new process done this morning called "powder dip," and my nails came out looking great. It's supposed to last 2-3 weeks, but I'm going in for a mani/pedi in 2. Mai has never done the new thing, so she watched as Judy did my nails, and I guess Judy will be doing them again from now on.

I hope you like your nails!

Chi doesn't have a chart to show how each powder will turn out yet, so the final color was a surprise. I like the color I ended up with, but it's not one that I would have chosen for myself.

I'm staying home today to do the Mirilax colon cleanse. Hopefully it works before Corey comes home, so I don't have to worry about sharing a bathroom. I should have drank the **** when I woke up 2 hours ago, but I wanted to get some coffee in me first (it makes you feel really full). It would be nice if afterwards I don't look as pregnant as I do now.
I should be taking better care of this problem, but it's ridiculous that I have to take a whole day, or if my gastro had his way 2 days, to deal with it.

I'm still wondering if I'm going to have those treatments for my neck or not tomorrow. I don't know how disappointed I'd be if I can't have them.

I looked it up a day or so ago ---do not feel like linking --- they do not
have lots of reliable evidence but there was some place that said that the research is promising.

this is what i saw After ten sessions I can honestly say that I am glad that I tried Myofascial Release - I can feel my body moving differently when I walk, run, ride my bike or practice yoga and there is much less discomfort in my legs.
