I am so sorry for this new issue and new doctor for you.
You don't need anything else new to worry about and have to deal with. I am so sorry. And I am sorry you are still sick.:( (((((HUGS)))) bizi |
Dear Kay, I hope that not having the lithium on board solves the issue. 'Glad that you keep up with your doctors and tests M |
I WISH that keeping up with my doctors and tests would have prevented this, but it didn't. My concerns were not addressed.
From the little I've read so far, I guess that these conditions can be reversible if you stop taking lithium, which I'm sure is/was the culprit, and I've been off of it for over a month. So that's good news. I am still sick. My cough is mostly controlled by the Mucnex DM, but it's terrible. I don't have a fever, but I've been dealing with this for a while now, and I'm getting tired of it, and it's tiring me out. I was able to take a nap yesterday. I fell asleep on the couch for a couple of hours with Buddy on my chest, and Dottie at my feet :) I'm doing laundry today, but I'm trying to wait until it warms up a little. It's about 9:30am and only 42 degrees out... |
It was 52 here...burr!

I am so tired of doctors!!! And now I have a new one…
Friday, Oct. 20th: 9am Ortho 10:15am Neuro Monday, Oct. 23rd Have to get my blood drawn at some point Tuesday, Oct. 24th 3pm Nephrologist Wednesday, Oct. 25th 9am Mani/pedi 1pm Eye Exam Friday, Oct. 27th 11am pdoc Mon, Oct. 30th Tysabri (MS med) Infusion That's just for the rest of October, and it doesn't include appointments for pain injections in my neck if I decide to get them, and my otho agrees to give them to me. I think I'm a tiny bit high, but I don't think right now is a good time to change my meds. I have a hell of a lot going on right now, but I'm trying my best not to get overwhelmed… 1) I'm not going to think about or research the kidney business anymore at all until after I see the nephrologist. 2) My main concern is my neck. I can set those appointments up on Friday. So there's a little light at the end of the tunnel there. 3) The physiatrist was unwilling to address my spasticity at our appointment. It's painful, wakes me up at night, and makes walking more difficult. I see my neuro on Friday and can talk to him about it. I'm also going to get some pot from my brother so I can sleep at night. Getting a medical card would be expensive. I really don't know what to do about my shoulder. Two doctors are aware that I have a rotator cuff injury, but haven't done anything about it (aside from taking an X-Ray, which doesn't show soft tissues injuries). I guess will mention it to the ortho again. I couldn't take a nap again yesterday. The other issue is the cough. It's been around for about a week now. Unless it gets worse, I'll wait until next week before I go to the doctor. |
Yesterday I ran out to get TP, and I bought a 100-ct package of k-cups at BJ's (I'm an addict, so it makes sense to buy in bulk). Then, I swept the kitchen and cleaned the bathroom when I got home.
I was exhausted and needed a nap, but couldn't get comfortable enough to fall asleep. So, I took another 1mg of Klonopin to help things along. It worked, and I took about a two hour nap. I was still in bed at around 9pm tho. Today is lottery day, and I have a couple of quick errands to run. I'd like to do some cleaning when I get home because I'll be busy with doctors all day tomorrow, but I'm not committed to it. My brother may have invited me to the Pat's game this Sunday. My brother is odd, and it's a hard to explain situation, but I'm basically waiting for a text or call back. I would love to go (I've never been to one), but I don't know if I can handle all the walking, and it's an 8:30pm game, which is very late for me. IDK. I guess we'll see. |
I always buy in large amounts. I think you save money. I use them up fast.
that was nice of your brother but I bet you can see it better on tv with your kitty cats. I am glad the klonopin worked. Love bobby |
Thank goodness for klonipin!
I wish I could take my .5mg at night again...I think that would help with my sleep issues again. bizi |
I'm not going to the Pat's game, but that's okay. I really don't think I could have handled it.
I saw my ortho at 9am. I'll be having an injection in the right side of my neck on next Thursday, the 26th. I'm still having left-sided neck pain, but I'm unsure if it's radiating anywhere, or where it may be radiating to, because my left shoulder is so messed up, so I'm NOT getting any injections in the left side now. The ortho referred me to a shoulder guy who I see on Halloween... So add two more appointments to that long list I posted before. I do not have one free day next week. When I saw my neuro at 10:15 I caught him up on everything. I told him I intended to smoke pot at night to deal with my MS symptoms rather than take meds. He was onboard, but doesn't do medical cards himself. I called a MJ clinic when I got home and I guess what they want for "medical records" is really a note from your doctor on his letterhead with his signature stating your qualifying condition. So, I called and left a message for my neuro's secretary. Hopefully I will get what I need. My brother may or may not be able to help me get some pot, but having the option of getting the card at some point is a good idea. It's best not to put all your eggs in one basket. So that's that. At least most doctors don't work weekends, so I'll have a couple of days off :) |
You are such a trooper kay.:)
You just go with the flow. or at least that is how it seems. I am glad that you are getting another injection on your right side. I hope this one works and that they get it in the right place. I am so glad that the neurologist is on board with your MJ idea. Hope he gets you the letter you need...and that you find relief soon. (((((HUGS))))bizi |
