those bars from south beach diet seem to make me go. I wonder what is in them. I hope Corey scares himself into taking action

OhKay 02-06-2018 07:29 AM

Bobby, it could be the sugar substitutes in them that are making you go. Their stuff probably has a lot of fiber in it, too.

The mag.citrate worked, but I'm still FOS because I haven't gone in so long. I'm going to have to do it again. I REALLY don't want to, but I will be home-bound tomorrow because we're getting a snow storm, so I might.

1-2 yrs ago when I had a CAT scan of my abdomen because I had diverticulitis, it showed I have a lot of inflammation in my colon. My gastro wanted me to have a colonoscopy, but I refused. When I just had the CAT scan for my kidneys, it showed the inflammation in my bowels was worse. The radiologist said I probably have inflammatory bowel disease (not IBS). That's probably why I can't go to the BR unless I take extraordinary measures. I should make an appointment with my gastro, but I'm sick of doctors.

I guess Corey left his phone in the bathroom Sunday night so he didn't hear those alarms going off yesterday morning, and he said his regular alarm clock was flashing like we lost power when he woke up (the other clocks were fine). I think he's full of crap about his alarm clock, but I bought him a new one from Bed Bath and Beyond online and will be picking it up at the store today. I didn't need to have a conversation with him about how his drinking is effecting his job because he was already VERY upset with himself.

I planned on doing laundry tomorrow, but because of the snow storm I have to do it today. I'm going to take the quilt from our bed so it will be nice and clean when new mattress arrives Thursday. I don't know how I will manage all that laundry, but I will figure it out.

I will have to leave earlier than usual so I will be home in time to accept deliveries from the post office (sheets) and UPS (cat food). The mail man usually comes around 2pm, and UPS usually comes very late in the day, but you never know...

I take 2 bottles of mag. citrate every time I take it. My gastro wants me to do that twice a week just for maintenance, but there's no way that's happening. As much as I hate the idea of it, I should make an effort to do it once a week. I took 2 more bottles this morning, and I will probably lay down soon to try to sleep off the nausea taking it causes.

We were supposed to get a combination of 5-8" of snow and ice today, but this morning the expected accumulation was downgraded to 1-3". We'll be getting precipitation from noon-midnight, so Lord only knows how much we'll actually get.

Our furniture is coming between 11:30am-2:30pm tomorrow. We have a very narrow parking lot here, so I hope there are no problems with the delivery truck blocking the plow trucks (they're terrible) or people trying to move their cars. I hope the delivery comes later in the day. Corey keeps telling me not to worry about it. I think it's worth worrying about.

I'm glad I left the house early yesterday because most of the washers at the laundromat, and all of the ones I usually use, were broken. I had to get creative, but it ended up taking me longer and costing me almost $20 to do the laundry.
It is really nice to have the quilt clean tho. The kitties are really enjoying it, too. It will be covered in cat hair again before the new bed arrives tomorrow lol.

They are natural but they are highly processed and could have those side effects for Some People:

It looks like I'm the only one in (just) my building who who didn't clean off and move my car last night, so I feel like an a-hole, but we're not obligated to do that until 9am the morning after a storm. I'm not looking forward to cleaning off my car because I'm sure it's covered with a sheet of ice.

I have to play the lottery and pick up a few things at the store before the delivery guys show up with the new bed. I don't have to be home until 11:30 tho- 11 to be safe. I don't have much prep to do before they get here, but I definitely have to make sure I capture all of the kitties and put them in the spare bedroom. They're going to hate that.

Still worrying about problems with the truck somehow being an obstacle...

bizi 02-08-2018 09:07 AM

It won't take them long to set up the new bed.
I hope it comes out exactly as you planned and that you win something on your lottery!
we got a new fitted sheet for the bed, 21 inch pockets just to be sure they fit. The also have corner elastic straps to prevent them from coming up.
Have a good day kay.

I was up and out early this morning for a standard brain MRI for MS at 8:30am. I had to leave early because I had to scrape the ice off my car and traffic was going to be heavy. I was only there for a little over an hour, but I'm very happy to be home. Instead of going grocery shopping, I want to climb back into that beautiful comfy bed (that I didn't want to get out of this morning).

The furniture delivery went off without a hitch. The guys were in and out in under 20 minutes. I love the bed! It's just what I wanted and expected! I know the kitties love it too, but I haven't gotten a chance to ask Corey how he slept last night.

I got a call from Janet in the office within minutes of their arrival because someone called to notify her we were getting a furniture delivery (nobody misses a trick around here). Apparently somebody had left a sofa and love seat next to the dumpster. Of course it wasn't us. She knew that tho, but had to ask. It was the s- heads from the 3rd floor who moved out without giving notice.

I REALLY want to lay down before I go grocery shopping. It's freezing out and I'm exhausted. I'm concerned I won't get up until late in the afternoon tho.
