STILL NO TEST RESULTS!!!
I just called the gastro's office looking for answers again, and the receptionist told me she would "tell the medical assistant to talk to the doctor." WTF... I bet I don't get a call back today either. I checked the hospital's website, and I can't see any info about the halter monitor study, but I saw that the 2 EKG's done the day I was at urgent care and the ER were modified, and the interpretations were more aligned. I think the odds that my symptoms are from a cardiac problem are more likely now, but I hope I am wrong. Today has been a very bad day so far. I almost passed out sitting on the deck after smoking my first cigarette of the day. I've been having a lot of shortness of breath and heart palpitations, and have been feeling faint every time I get up. It's after noontime, and I haven't brushed my teeth or showered, which is rare for me. I have to go out to pick up a couple of prescriptions, because I always have to pick up prescriptions, and buy TP. I usually don't go out without showering, but I may today... I'm afraid to get in there. Or maybe I will just wait until Corey gets home. IDK. I think I'm feeling especially shitty because I took 2 bottles of mag. citrate last night, and am dehydrated/my electrolytes are off. I've been trying to drink a lot of water. My new handbag arrived a little while ago. It's beautiful! I love it!  They still haven't even shipped the wallet yet tho  I'll wait to switch bags until the wallet arrives. It will be a difficult wait. |

I am sorry you are having to wait for both these issues. I wish I could help. you have been such a trooper in all of this. I don't know how you are holding it all together. I admire your resilience. ((((HUGS)))) bizi

Of course I didn't get any test results yesterday. I'm VERY upset about how long I've been waiting for the results from the gastro.
I've been trying to be patient as I await the results from the halter monitor study, but I'm going to call my PCP's office today to see if they have any info for me, and let them know I'm in such rough shape. Yesterday was SCARY. I'm going to wear my lucky underwear today, so hopefully I'll get my test results back and they will be good! I have to get to the grocery store today or tomorrow. If I feel close to okay later, I will go today because God only knows what tomorrow will bring. Mornings are especially rough, but I usually have to sleep in the afternoon, so it's really hard to get anything done. The handbag is a light khaki coated canvas "smaller" size Coach "tote" with the "signature" C's on it, but it has aquamarine leather straps and details on it. It's much prettier than it sounds. I didn't spend a lot because they had a HUGE sale at the outlets (including the online one) again. My aqua wallet is supposed to arrive on Saturday. I will mail the other wallet (that ended up being BLUE) back tomorrow. |

By 4:30pm yesterday I hadn't heard from the gastro's office, so I decided to call the office manager. She was very apologetic, and said that she would get to the bottom of things, and I would at least hear back from her tomorrow to let me know what the hold up was...
The NP called me last night at 6. She didn't even know I had had the test done, so it wasn't her or her medical assistant's fault I didn't get the results. She said she had a hard time finding the report because nobody scanned it into my chart... Anyway, things are much worse than I expected. I do have a sigmoidocele (hernia or prolapse of my sigmoid colon, not sure which), a rectocele (thinning of the wall between my rectum and vagina), and rectal intussusception (my rectum is folding over itself but not protruding outside the body). I will need these things surgically repaired, which is what I will do, but she said that the local surgeons have rejected much less complicated cases than mine, and it really is best to have the surgery done in Boston. Even tho I hate the idea of that, she is right. But, right now I'm in no shape for surgery, and... I also got the results of my halter monitor study yesterday, and they were "normal." So, I have no clue why I'm feeling so shitty all the time, and neither does my PCP or the NP. I told the RN I spoke to about the symptoms I'm having and she said I shouldn't be driving, and I should go to the ER. I said there was no point because I would sit there for hours, and they would just give me a bag of IV fluids and send me home. She said she would try to squeeze me in for an appointment with my PCP, but I never heard back from her... This has been going on for WEEKS now and now I see no light at the end of the tunnel. They have to do something to try to figure this out because I just can't live like this. I will call today to get an appointment with the NP. I'll probably have to wait another week... My anxiety is through the friggen roof. I hope that my mood doesn't start to shift. This is definitely enough to do it
