I would be very scared if there was a possibility my meds would have to be changed, too :hug::hug:
Whatever's causing your abnormal test results may not be med-related. It may not even be anything significant... But I know that it's very hard not to worry when you don't have any information, and some very scary things are possible :hug::hug: I hope you will contact your councilor tomorrow. Until then, hang in there BF :hug::hug: BTW, You haven't mentioned your cat lately... is she still hanging out in the kitchen? Could she be of some comfort now? |
Yes I agree, get the ultra sound done/scheduled as soon as possible.
Waiting and worrying cause you such pain, I feel sorry for you about this. I wish your hobby was not effected by any changes....I know that this is an area you have enjoyed for many years. Perhaps you could come up with another hobby to fill in the gag? ((((((HUGS)))))) bizi |

I'm having my kidneys scanned today. I feel nervous about the whole thing. I don't know what to expect, and what they are going to find. I don't know what they are going to try to do with my medicines. Maybe nothing. I just don't know. BF:hug::hug::hug:

What is Ultrasound gel for? | Two Views The tech will hold a wand (with gel sometimes) over the kidneys and take some pictures. You might be asked to turn to your side or the other side and so forth. They usually use some gel so the wand moves easily over the skin. = Often, a second person comes in to look at the pictures of the first person. Some times they ask a few questions but usually do not provide answers. Of course, it is still good to ask a few questions if you want. Later the results are sent to your MD. M |
The scan is usually painless, but sometimes there is a little tenderness when the wand goes over certain areas, but I can't remember if there are any of those areas for a kidney ultrasound.
Usually the ultrasound tech will not tell you anything. They're not supposed to because they don't have the training to read the images. If the tech does tell you something, I would disregard it for that reason. The kidneys are very complicated organs. Try to think of this process of diagnosis in stages, and try to focus on getting through this ultrasound, then getting the results before worrying about treatment and possible medication changes if you can :hug::hug: I'm glad your kitty is being so friendly :) |
