vraylar (caripazine) does anyone take this? Or have experience taking this? I see my pdoc this week and I would like to have some other suggestions for an antipsychotic for her.
So far Saphris 2.5mg, black cherry flavored sounds reasonable. It is very expensive but I have a $15 dollar savings card for a year. I don't know about vraylar. Have not researched that yet. bizi

yes bobby...lots of negative reviews just like all of the other AP. I think people with bad experiences post more about them then good experiences so the numbers are skewed.
I was just hoping that some one here might have had experiences. bizi

All antipsychotics and atypical antipsychotics, especially the new ones, are going to have a lot of bad reviews. They all come with a lot of potential side effects, some of which are very unpleasant, and some are very serious. Everyone's responses to meds are different tho and some people can handle the milder side effects, if they even get any, because of the benefits they get from the drug.

You should look at incidence of
QT events when researching. High incidence of this side effect generally outweighs any benefits of the drug. This is just one table I found on the comparing QT effects for atypical antipsychotics: Which psychotropics carry the greatest risk of QTc prolongation? | Current Psychiatry I think it is very difficult to manage all these drugs to choose from. In the end you have to consider your own response too. But tumors and stopping the heart are rather serious and should be considered too.
