The fact your having trouble with the Bath tub or shower also, is another reason you need a PT at home. They can help you figure out how to do it safely. I don't know if you qualify for an health aide, but my mom has someone come 5 days a week, and at least two of them are for showers. But she also needs help getting dressed and she also doesn't drive. And they take her places or get her groceries. Donna

The PT can also look at your shower and install grab bars where you might need one.

I hope your first contact with the home health agency is an in-home/in-person evaluation to assess your needs... it should be.
Donna, Mari, and Bizi have all brought up some very good ideas. We all want you to be safe and to get the services you need and want The social worker can be helpful in coordinating everything like the housekeepers, home health, PTs, etc. She sounds wonderful

I think I just lost another friend. she insisted that I took two falls that day and i repeated said no. she said I was in denial. then she said my neighbor was there. I wrote her that my neighbor was upstairs. She told me I was in denial and i took two falls and she couldn't go out with her. she finally wrote me an email and said I was right and only had one fall and sometimes her memory had licks like that. I can;t take it.
still haven't herd from the social worker. she said she would call today |

I'm sorry about what happened with your friend, Bobby. I hope that things turn out okay
My memory is awful. I have to admit that I misremember things sometimes... I'll be convinced I'm right, and will fight the point, only to realize later that I was wrong. It drives Corey crazy. So, in your friend's defense, things like that do happen. I hope that your social worker did call you yesterday
