It is possible that he thought he was being helpful -- lots of well
intentioned people would say something like that.

you can't mention his weight. he sent me a picture of his uncle walter and andy and saidd that was his uncle walter and didn't andy but said they were in nyc

"He has no freaking qualifications" lol.

"You can't imagine his weight" lol.

You guys are so funny... lol.

Sometimes people mean well, but well... lol. You wouldn't believe some of the advice people give me, and the people who try to give it. Sometimes it ****** me off, but sometimes I just have to laugh because it's ridiculous.

Mari is right, he doesn't know what he's talking about. Now is not the time to practice walking. Richard will give you the proper guidance...

But I do think your nephew was probably trying to give you a pep talk or something... just misguided.

mymorgy 10-11-2017 06:43 AM

he is always telling me to think positively. He won't come 30 blocks to meet for lunch but says to meet in midtown where he works. He ignores my walking situation. A cab would cost too much money for me, probably at least 60 dollars round trip. Richard is being cautious with me. He told me not to practice. He wants me to use the walker. Today I have to go across the street but I think i will take a cane. I have a block towards the walker.

I hope your trip across the street went well

It's a shame that your nephew can't meet you for lunch closer to your apartment. Maybe he can't get the time off of work...
Maybe lunch on a weekend, or an early dinner would work out better?

mymorgy 10-12-2017 07:03 AM

maybe I am being hard but I think they were all raised by Myra and they lack compassion. Harold probably had something to do with it too but I knew myra.
can't wait to tell my psychiatrist I am not depressed. I didn't go out yesterday.

In no part of the world is the aunt expected to move 30 blocks to meet the
nephew.

No culture would find that acceptable.
It is especially wrong for him to know that you have current mobility issues.
Then to give you advice re walker is worse.

At best, he is a weird guy.

If he does not want to get his own *** across town, then he is supposed to
pay for a cab for you.
He knows the mores for this but he chooses not to
follow them.

(Sorry that I am feeling protective of you --- or generally bitchy.)

Sorry.
