Derricks update, He is getting ready to start week 6. He has had some real problems with roommate twice for sure. He called me first time. And because he sounded like seizure I got a hold if one of the workers. It got resolved, then almost week later he had anxiety attack and I'm sure when he was found by another member of his group he had been having an seizure. Took 30 minutes to 1 hour to get him back from what he says. But they are working very well with him.

The Facebook page. Perkins green training institute shows what they are doing. I'm so glad to have it.

Ok updating other two sons, Devin I honestly know very little on. Even Melina isn't telling me what is going on. But need an hair dye soon so that will change.

Dan & Kortni are keeping good tabs on me. They run my errands when needed before Dale is home.
Dan gets me a pop when needed, but I'm doing very well cutting down on amount. I had cans for two weeks. Dale and I will find more tomorrow. Have to pick up meds too. Dan and Kortni are having lots of pipe problems. Hoping it ends soon. They have very large electric heat bills. Hoping she got energy assistance appt. They will qualify if early enough. Harmony is just about 13 1/2 months old. Has second tooth coming through. Is crawling finally and sitting up on own. I still haven't had Kortni bring her over, I'm not sure If staph is still something I need to stay away from. Just life moving on.

I'm so happy to hear from you, Donna!!! :):):)

I wish that you were doing better tho. You have been through hell... I'm so sorry you are exhausted. It must be a big adjustment. I hope that things start to get easier for you, and you don't need anymore drainage :hug::hug:

I'm sorry to hear that Derrick had a seizure and is having problems with his roommate. I'm glad that the staff there seems to be on the ball, and you have faith in them

I'm sorry that you haven't been able to see Harmony in so long. It must be hard :hug::hug:

Donna,

Depending on the circumstances, staph can be infectious.

Keep taking care of yourself.

Yes, her staph was contagious she got it from other grandma after thinking two months she didn't have. Looks like no staph now her problem is eczema. Which I believe she has had for a while. We have watched her lotions and soaps to use only sensitive things. Doctor had said use Aveeno, It was taken away yesterday it's causing more problems. So guessing changes every few months now. She can't use anything but wash clothes too. The wet wipes no matter what break her out. I had an great dinner for early Valentine's with husband tonight

That makes it harder if you can't use wet ones for clean ups. How old is she again?

Donna,

I cannot use wet ones or any of those things either. Aveeno is awful.
And almost all soaps bother me. I have to go to speciality stores.
Some things are available online.

Whole foods sometimes has what I need: the soap has to be as natural as possible and have no scent (sent free).

DO NOT USE SOAP IN THE WASHING MACHINE if you think
the soap on her clothes might be bothering her.
:heartthrob:Sometimes I wash my clothes only with vinegar and hot water.

Wet wash cloths a few times a day helps I hope.

Some people are o.k. with Dr. Bonners soaps. I have been using this one.
:heartthrob:Dr. Bonner's Pure-Castile Liquid Soap - Baby Unscented

Amazon.com : Dr. Bronner's Pure-Castile Liquid Soap - Baby Unscented, 32oz. : Baby Bathing Body Washes : Beauty

:heartthrob:Ask the doctor if you can use ZINC cream -- they have it in the drug stores for
diaper rash. Get the unscented kind.

I wish her well.

Eczema plaques can be magnets for infection. It's hard to clean the skin well enough to prevent infection without irritating/inflaming it.

I used to have severe eczema, but I grew out of it. Back then, I usually used Oil of Olay or Dove sensitive skin bar soap, but if it was really bad, I could only wash some areas with Alpha Keri Oil. I always used Keri sensitive skin lotion. They didn't have dye free laundry detergents back then so, I would run my clothes a second time without any soap.

I hope that they find out what works out well for Harmony soon. They'll get some good tips, but it's really trial and error.

I'm glad you had a great Valentine's Day dinner! :)
