Very busy week for me. So if I go kind of missing that is why.

But Dan got out of the inpatient yesterday. Now I just finished his
application online for Medicaid, doing it as the person helping him.
And asked that they send me the form to do so. Hoping this all
works out.

Now to figure out what is going on with the medicare he turned down.
But about 2 or 3 months ago, turned in paperwork to redo the thinking
on. But hasn't heard anything. I have no clue exactly were to start on
this. Since he doesnt' seem to have any information on it. So we will
see what I need to do.

He is on respirdone, buspirone or something like that, divalproex, I believe
is the right one, It is a generic for depakote, and lithuim.

Now to get him into the other place and get him to the therapist, so we can get an psychiatrist, who will prescribe after these medicines run out in a month.

Hopefully fast. Its a mess. Otherwise he might be right back in there.

'Glad that he is out.

I send good vibes for finding a pdoc for him soon.

The hospitals should provide a supply or refill system for two months.
Otherwise it is hard to arrange for a new doctor and new meds.

I wish him well.

I made his appointment for the therapist for about 2 weeks from Thursday for
him. Because I have to make sure its at a time we can bring him.

Then it will be getting to an psychiatrist after that.

IF I can get his insurance, I may just back up the things by making sure
he has a primary doctor.

I'm glad that Dan is out, Donna. How is he doing?

I hope that you are to get him an appointment with a psychiatrist, and are able to make some progress on the insurance front. You have a lot on your plate

I have him an appointment in two weeks from Tomorrow with an therapist
for an intake. Of course I can't stay and make sure things go well.
I have an case conference already scheduled that day. But I am hoping
they will then schedule him with a psychiatrist at that point.
IF they do he might get meds in time for when his run out.

If not then not sure what we are going to do.

Red face

If you have got him a GP then they will be able to write him scripts.
That is until he can see the new pdoc.

A lot of PCP's wouldn't be comfortable writing that many psych scripts, but it may be worth a try. I think if push comes to shove, your best bet would be calling the inpatient psychiatrist.

If Dan had a social worker when he was inpatient, he/she may be able to recommend a pdoc and greases some wheels for you if the therapist can't help.

I had a lot of problems when I was discharged from the psych ward the first time. I was in insurance/pdoc limbo too, so I can relate to the difficulties you are having. I'm thinking good thoughts for you all, Donna

Well at this point I'm just hoping things can be worked out.

If not at some point if he gets bad he might just end up
inpatient again. And we will just watch him like an hawk.

He is seeming to know his symtoms at this point more and
really keeping an eye out on his own more. So I'm really hoping
this will help. I'm thinking an regular doctor isn't going to
want to prescribe them. Because he doesn't have one.

So I do know we need to start him with one for all things anyway.

He has had a good week, till today, seems even though I've been
busy he was good. But today he went maniac, and mad. But he
calmed himself down and did good. And didn't go off completely.

So that was good.

I have had 4 case conference's this week and two workshops. Physical
therapy twice and lots of fun things.

I'm getting stronger and can tell. And believe the pain is getting lots
better. And my knee on the right one is back in its right place. And
not a messy mushy mess anymore. Really a nice change.

We are finding out my balance issues are even more than I thought
and I have been adjusting standing and things even more. So its really
more than I thought. But its life, and it makes more sense of my problems.

I have the same pt assistant, and today she told me at some point she will
help me learn how to get off the floor safely and the right way. It really still scares me. So I'm really pleased with this idea.

I also know I need to find a new medic alert bracelet and things like that
with my need to make sure they never try to take the blood or do blood pressure in right side and things. SO I need to get that taken care of soon.

I have had a great week. And I have a happy set of parents which makes
it even nicer. And I have a group of professionals that are happy to have me back. I love that part the most. It was the area I covered the most for 18 years and I missed it alot.
