Thanks everyone.

I think right now the biggest thing is getting Harmony to ride happily in
a vehicle again. She cries everytime the vehicle stopped on the way home
last night I guess. But was better than going to the hospital she cried
the whole time there then.

I'm betting they aren't looking forward to the Indy trips. Because its
such a long drive and they take Taxi's so I'm sure that will be a problem
too.

I think I'm going to look into how long the construction is going to
be and if its just till August were they need to go or Sept. And its just
to see about results if they can extend the wait suggest she does for
now.

I don't think it would matter. And I'm thinking that might be what they
have right now.

ITs been a rough day. What started out as a lovely day.

First I did Derrick's medicaid call. It went great. As soon as
I get the form to sign its set for another year.
Then Derrick, Dale and I went to breakfast and bought Derrick's
birthday present a new nintendo switch. And were doing some
grocery shopping for a few days. Well then we were trying to
pick up Doby to come home with us.

And I get a call from Dan, They had been in a wreck and needed
me to take them to the hospital. I couldn't hear them. So Kortni
called me back. So we took off, leaving Derrick and Doby home.
Get to were the vehicle was and pick them up, and Dale and the
wrecker go back to the house to with our vehicle. I go on to the
hospital and he gets the other car and comes in. I go get a new
car seat. Since they can't use it anymore.

They all have bruises. I know for sure Dan has contusions on
his arm and is to see a Ortho. Not sure about Kortni, need to
see the paperwork Dale has. But the other two are supposed to
be okay. Will be checking to make sure tomorrow and the rest of
the week.


Its been a long day. We spent about 4 hours in ER.

Thanks everyone,

As we all know it will work out.

Kortni had a bad day yesterday. She thinks she might have broken a rib.
I told her to let me know if she has trouble breathing and needs to
be seen. I'll get her back in to the er or urgent care. She says Harmony
is good.

Dan was doing pretty good when I saw him yesterday. He is just so much calmer with his medicine. And in so much better condition. I'm really impressed with how much better he is doing right now. He needs something to do. So I'm working on figuring that out right now. Its going to take a while but that is all right now.

Derrick is doing well, his 3 month meeting for his medicaid waiver is tomorrow. We will work on his transportation problems for work. I'm setting out to solve these problems with this one. I've got news for his provider service they aren't going to be slacking anymore if I have my way. I'm tired of them thinking they can just walk on him. Its not going to happen.
If nothing else they should be able to help with pick up and take him.
We can't set a get off time with his work, his job is such that they don't do that.

Well the meeting other than transportation to present job went well.

But I think its going to be short lived as long as the things the job
coach is thinking goes. And I think Derrick would be very happy
going back to were they are talking.

She was talking about the 8500 freshman class at Purdue, and the
eating halls, and the fact of how they are now hiring that help. Seems
they are wanting more help again. At the end of the meeting, she
kind of asked Derrick if its out for him to go back to Purdue, and he
said, No, not if they will let him have at least one day of Cooking.

So when I'm headed home about 1 1/2 hours later, I get on my texting
that she is trying to update his References. And when I'm trying to call
and tell Derrick something, he is talking to her on the phone. Guessing
about that. So I'm guessing soon they will be going back to working
on getting him back to Purdue. Which would be great to our thinking.

Because, we can't set the end of his day at the present placement.
He doesn't know for sure that they will allow him to start cooking,
and he can't go home if the new cook doesn't show up.

There are lots of problems, with this place, but the biggest is getting
him rides home, when he can't catch a bus.

The provider service person didn't show at the meeting again. And
I'm thinking until they figure out something with the mess they
aren't going to. THey just can't find enough help. So their all covering
all their houses and trying to do their own jobs too.

Just life.

It's almost as if even the good people get stuck or have to
work around obstacles or wait for someone else.

I personally believe Derrick will be very happy if he can return to
Purdue. He really felt it was home to him. Yes at times he had
lots of Anxiety there. And were still working to get someone for
him to talk to for his anxiety. But that in itself is a job. Seems
there just isn't anyone for just that. But will get that worked
out at some point.

It is going to take the right person, so its an job in itself.
Have someone in mind so waiting till the person who knows the
person's name is back off vacation probably next week.
