I couldn't log in to Medscape.

But gabapentin is a controlled substance (at least in my state) now. Someone told me people use it to enhance the effects of opiates, and in larger doses it has a sedating effect on people that they enjoy.

What a mess for the rest of us.

I do not see what the problem is if people find it sedating in an enjoyable way.

I hope my state does not regulate it more tightly.
