I saw my pdoc today.
She was very happy with my report. Don't have to see her for 3 months. 17 pounds lost since november. AF since valentines day. We decided to continue the naltrexone, she thinks it is contributing to my weight loss, and controlling my urges to drink alcohol. Maybe so. I cooked up a big shrimp boil tonight for company. It turned out really good everyone said. It was nice to hear the compliments. WE had shrimp, red new potatoes, Corn on the cob, mushrooms and andoui sausage(which was spicy). Also had a kale, brussel sprouts and cabbage salad and a bowl of fresh pineapple and strawberries. I am stuffed! You have to cheat every so often, can't deprive myself all of the time. I am thinking of going to the gym.... bizi edited to say that I just went to planet fitness and used the hydro message bed.

Speckled trout for lunch with carrots and chard and squash. it was all very good.
almond and cheese and some left over salad from last night a few pieces of fruit strawberry and pineapple. going to eat some pop corn when we watch seinfeld. watched the last episode of the x-files, It was exciting. really need to do some of this billing that I have been avoiding. ugh bizi

Sorry about the hot flashes, I'd say they may never go away. I know that isn't what you want to say. But I still have them sometimes I just have gotten better at being used to them. I'm going to be 60 in two weeks I think. DOnna

I know that you are not happy with your current weight, but a 17 pound weight loss since November is significant!
And congratulations again on staying AF so long! I'm happy that your shrimp boil went over so well! I love hearing compliments about my cooking, too... especially if I work very hard to make something, and it sounds like you must have worked hard. The season finale of the X-Files was on last night. They set it up so that it could be the end of the series, but it could also be the beginning of a new story line. It was a good episode. We enjoyed watching this season, with the exception of one episode, which was bizarre, but not in a good way. We go through periods where we watch lots of Seinfeld reruns on cable. We need a rest right now because they started repeating a lot of episodes too often. Awesome show tho. I know you will get to your billing soon even though it is so distasteful

For lunch I Had veggie mousaka(greek dish with potatoes, egg plant and tomatoes) It is one of my favorite dishes at sandras health food store and cafe. Also had a yummy bowl of chicken and rice soup. Sammie is a great cook.
We had salmon for dinner tonight baked with freshly steamed asparagus. Some almonds and cheese to snack on before dinner then a bowl of pop corn for 10pm snack. Finished billing, have to bill to get paid!!! Listened to cat stevens while working. In june we have tickets to see James Taylor and Bonnie RAtte in concert!!!!! Getting ready to go to bed. I saw James Taylor a long time. I enjoyed his concert.
What's weird though is that he was grouchy about something -- maybe he complained a little about the venue or the accomodations he needed. 'Can't remember because it was such a while ago. I would be totally down with seeing Bonnie Rait!!! Have fun. M |
