Default I always think the worse

Is that bipolar two or generalized anxiety or from my childhood? I always stop at the worst and don't think through a potential problem an terrify myself.
At this old age I have to learn to stop it

I think that it's probably a mix of genetics, brain chemistry, and past trauma.

None of this is your fault. When you're living with bipolar disorder and anxiety you can't just say "stop doing this or that, stop feeling this or that." I really wish that your meds worked better for you

You can ask your therapist if she can help you learn some ways to cope with your anxiety, and see if any of those things help

Hi Bobby. Try not to think of the worse case imaginable about every situation. It's called to catastrophize about things. One thing after another. When it happens, realize that when you were a child, you didn't do this. When you were young you had parents, and God to rely on. Now you have God to rely on. He is all capable to help you through life no mater how hard your life is, and no mater what happens.

Catastrophizing is something we learn how to do. Let's try to unlearn it. When it happens, you might want to get up and distract these thoughts. The root of these thoughts is fear. I know this because I struggle with the issue also. BF

When a person is a caretaker, she/he has so much responsibility to be alert, to live
with heightened senses/ emotional responses.( -- that's my thinking anyway.)
And it is hard to drop that later.
