I have to tell somebody. I don't like my kidney doctor. He doesn't seem to have sensitivity. BF

Zantac works just as well. I take it twice a day. I take it in the morning, and also before bed. It's not a PPI medicine.

Bizi, he may need something stronger. If you can get him to his doctor, he might prescribe him Protonix, which is what I take. I think it's a PPI tho.

Hi Bizi. His doctor may need to give him a higher dose. He needs to take it in the morning, and before bed. I'm not a doctor as you know. I'm just trying to help. BF

What's going on with your doctor?

Talk to him about the issue.

He's been rude to me. He's from another country. I have told him that I thought that he was being rude. They may be that way to each other in his country. BF

Unhappy

I am sorry friend. Many doctors think they are GOD.
and may be good surgeons etc but have crappy bed side manners.
WE patients should be treated with respect.
I am sorry he was rude to you.

He might not be rude on purpose. It might just be his accent that sounds rough.

You could "call him out." You could ask him more questions so he
ends up talking to you.

Sometimes when I talk very slowly to someone and look them in the
eye when I am talking, they focus on me better when they respond.

I'm sorry that you aren't being treated well, BF

A lot of clinically good doctors and good surgeons have lousy bedside manners. They either never learn how to treat any patients well, or they're just not wired to do it. I guess sometimes there may be cultural differences as well.

Because I have so many health issues, I've had to go to A LOT of doctors. I've learned that I have to weigh the benefits of continuing to see them because of their expertise against how shitty they treat me...

If your kidney doctor has an excellent reputation and/or is tied to an excellent support staff, he may well be worth hanging on to. If not, you may want to consider making a change because I doubt he will change his ways

The last time I saw the doctor, he was talking like he was a professor with a podium that he was reading from. I needed to ask him a question. I did. After he answered my question he went back to what he was reading from on his podium, and said, "Before I was interrupted...". I was asking him an important question. I wasn't interrupting him. BF
