I have 3 sisters, and yes my mom is a beautiful person. My dad was to,
he has been gone now for 27 years in July.

I remember that when my mom had migraines which was many. That
one time I needed to go get a skirt or dress for a dance. I can't remember
exactly which it was. But I remember my dad took me. And we couldn't
find what I wanted. So he called my mom, and she told him to take
me to the fabric store, and have me pick out material and she would tell
him how much to get. Um, it was way out of his element but he did.

Heehee, I picked out velveteen material, which I believe he was afraid
she would veto, because we didn't have much time. But nope she
said, it was fine because it was just a skirt that I needed. And she had
enough time. So we got the material and took it and the rest of the
stuff he said home. Now I do know she told him to put the lady at
the fabric store on the phone so he would take everything home. THat
would be needed besides the fabric.

But it was a really nice long skirt.

I am not taking things in stride. I went to the doctor after two weeks to check on my blood pressure and a new cholesterol pill I was taking. I always have a fast heart beat. the blood pressure was okay but he got upset about the fast heart beat. He said I could have a heart attack or another stroke. He gave me another ekg but there were no abnormalities -he let me go home. I had real trouble walking. I am not depressed. I plan to pet my kitties even more for health reasons.

They found that over a 20-year period, those who had never owned a cat had a 40 percent greater risk of death due to heart attack and a 30 percent higher risk of death due to any sort of cardiovascular disease than previous or current cat owners. Researchers found no such protective effects for dog owners.

"This study links pet ownership to health consequences, and that's very new concept that we haven't previously considered," said lead study investigator Dr. Adnan Qureshi, executive director of the Stroke Center at the University of Minnesota.

Was that appointment with your PCP or the cardiologist? If the doctor was so concerned, maybe the cardiologist should be doing something to address your tachycardia (fast heat rate)?

I'm glad that you are going to pat your kitties more. There are mental health benefits, too, and it's just good for the soul

the g.p. I just saw the cardiologist. He gave me an all clear. That is why this doctor gave me an ekg to see if he could spot an abnormality. I just went thru three tests with the heart doctor.

I'm sorry, Bobby. I thought it was higher. A normal resting heart rate is 60-100 BPM. 105 is not far off. I wouldn't worry too much about it, especially since all your test results were good.

What are you reading right now?

I am reading Patricia Oliver. I finished one book and half way thru another. Hopefully I will get thru this one today.
With that strange blood pressure reading and then the high pulse rate I asked my no nonsense friend Robert if he thought I could die soon and am waiting for his educated guess. He has had a lot of heart issues.
Pudge continues to be in heaven with all the petting and brushing. abby is choosing to stay up on the cabinet occasionally looking down.
