Yeah, I have a really hard time drinking water at work too. All teachers at all levels go through this -- finding opportunity to go to the restroom.

I can imagine that would be hard to do.

Some people say that your body adjusts to higher water intake over time and you pee less, but I call BS on that.

I went into work hoping that I could manage with the wicked cold I have.

But it was getting worse by the hour so I left and came home.

I am feeling better at the moment.

There's nothing I can take that won't make me feel worse.

I am drinking lots of water.

I'm sorry you can't take anything for your cold, Mari. I hope the cold is short-lived, you can get some good sleep in, and you feel better soon

can you drink herbal tea?
The anti-inflammatory gingerols and shaogals in ginger root will help to relieve a sore throat quickly, and they also kill rhinoviruses, which cause colds in the first place. Drink three or more cups daily until you are well. You can also drink the same ginger tea to warm up on a very cold winter day.Mar 24, 2011

I am home from work today still.

I will ask hubby if he has ginger. He usually has some
in the fridge for his own tea.

The other day I asked him to buy some honey dew and I felt
somehow that it did help me feel better.

Lightbulb

Thursday was the first day I started feeling better.

I've been home sleeping. Sleeping feels helpful.
