You are right.

Part of his mental/emotional/undiagnosed mess is that he worries
about how other people think, (how I look in society).
I ignore that as best I can.

It is really good of you to do this favor. You should be enjoying your break and don't need the s***. The favor's really for your husband, since it's for HIS colleague's daughter. Bizi is right, he should be more appreciative.

My husband can be very critical about things I say sometimes, and how they may be interpreted by strangers, and it's usually about stupid s*** that nobody but him would think twice about/care about. It upsets me. He has really bad anxiety issues, too. And is undiagnosed, and untreated.

The girl is sweet but annoying. I think she felt that she had everything that
she needed and had already gotten her help -- did not seem interested in my
suggestions /advice.
So because of hubby and her father, she and I wasted 45 mins on the phone
together when we each could have been doing something else.

1) Re pdoc's schedule: When I saw her last, she said she sets her own schedule and seemed to say that she could see me when I needed her.
And her desk people are o.k. with my new insurance although the co-pay went up a lot.

2) Today I saw my hair dresser and came straight back home. I have been seeing him for 12 or 15 years.

3) I did nothing else today except check in w/ twitter friends, listen to music, and eat some food hubby prepared (he cooks; I wash although we switch sometimes.)
He mostly shops but I have input.

4) Sis and I had a looooong talk about her work. She's doing o.k. -- she's not
a big mouth like I am at work so people like her but she is not comfortable with the new boss.

5) Because he likes toys, hubby bought an Amazon echo DOT. It was too much of a PIA to connect to my phone BUT
It works fantastic for an alarm clock for me. I am so relieved to have a solution to the alarm clock hassle.
