Hello all, I've recently been diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder. I'm supposed to start a medicine called clozapine but my ekg was abnormal so they want to do some other kind of test on may 2. Before they can decide whether or not I can take the medicine.

Welcome Dolly!
I'm sorry about your recent diagnosis and your abnormal EKG. This must be a very difficult time for you  I have bipolar disorder and an abnormal EKG, but my EKG was determined to be a "normal variant," which means it's different, but okay. I hope the same is true for yours. My hope is that the test on the 2nd goes okay, you are healthy, and you can take your doctor's first choice of meds. But if you can't, I'm sure that he/she is used to working around medical problems and can find other ways to treat your mental health disorders Please let us know how things go. Best of luck Kay |
