I don't have anyone but my husband, and I don't handle being by myself well either. He used to go away for work, but hasn't had to for a while.

I think it's a good idea to talk about things leading up to the trip because I'm sure just the anticipation of having to be alone is enough

I don't know why I get so anxious about meeting new people. Today was my day out with Dad, fishing for walleye in Saginaw Bay, Lake Huron. The captain was really nice and wanted to take a picture of me with our catch to post on his website when we finally made it back to shore, so I let him. I didn't know how windblown my hair was so I looked horrible but oh well, too late now. We didn't catch many fish but still had a great time, and I caught my first walleye ever. It was fresh fish and sauteed zucchini and mushrooms for dinner. Nothing special but fresh caught fish is always appreciated in our house.

That's one anxious moment done, just a few more to go. Hopefully tubing this weekend will be uneventful but fun as well.

Remember wind blown hair is almost a given with the boating and
catching fish. So if it had been well kept hair no one would have
believed it. So the look will be more believeable.

I'm guessing they will love it.

What a relief. This morning I woke up to find out that I will not be going tubing this weekend. The people who invited us to go ended up inviting more people that I don't know which would have caused more anxiety for me, and would have made sleeping arrangements rather difficult. Instead we are just going to stay home and relax. To me, that sounds much better. Now I can rest easy until school starts later this month. I'm still anxious about that but not as much as getting together with people I barely know anymore or don't know at all.

I'm taking classes for my business administration degree.

I think you said that you are doing them on line?
That will be less stressful this way.

I think looking forward to school starting is stressful enough, but you seem to be less worried about that at the time being

What a lovely day today was. Spent the whole day by the fire on the beach at our house. The weather was perfect, not a cloud in the sky and temperatures were near 75 all day long. Much better than having panic attacks being around people who I don't know in my bathing suit which is what was supposed to happen but thankfully didn't. I even had an eagle fly overhead.
