I'm so sorry, Alaina (((HUGS)))

You are NOT a failure because school may not be right for you at this time. Hell, you have only just started taking something to try to control your anxiety. It will take some time before your BP and anxiety are managed better.

When is the cut off to get your tuition reimbursement? It is early, so you should be able to get all/most of it back...

Take some time to think about what is right for you right now. It doesn't mean that you are making a decision about what happens in the future.

(((((BIG HUGS)))))

Red face

Writing papers is so hard for me....I am a terrible writer.I failed an english class that was literature comparisons about books.compare and contrast. I could not get thru the books let alone write the papers. Teacher told me to drop the class. talked to my dad and he said don't quit. so I just failed.
my advise is to drop that class for now. how is the other class going?

Okay, my personal thought on this. You are doing exactly what
any teacher would expect of you working to make the assignment
the easiest on you. You had three assignments.

Turned in the first one. No matter the grade!
Have plans to get the second one in I'm guessing close if not on time!

The third is already started, you have 400 words. Have stated you know
you can get some more words written. I'm personally going to say maybe
600 more words is what you are thinking. So you would work to do that.

But that is still short the teachers requirement.

Honestly this is more than most students would put out to work through.
And many would fill in the assignment with lets say busy words and
sentences that have nothing to do with the assignment.

So I'm first very impressed with your thought and dedication to the assignment.
and second I agree you need to think about your health and go ahead
and drop this class.

I personally feel you are an superstar and definitely not an failure.

You have done more than most would even consider trying and then
needing to just drop the class.

I have been reading about add/withdrawal dates all morning and can't seem to find any information other than something about 9 days from the start of class to drop. I do have an email in to the office of financial aid just to be certain before I make a decision to drop my class. My second class doesn't start for another 4 weeks, but if I drop 1 course, I have to drop them both since I will not be eligible for financial aid and scholarships by taking just 1 course.

I did get ahold of someone at the school and they confirmed that I have 9 days from the start of class to drop. I am so anxious right now that I think it might be best to wait until I calm down some before making a decision of what I am going to do. Right now, I'm a mess, can't stop shaking, can't stop crying, having a hard time breathing, and just don't know what to do with myself.

I'm so sorry that you are having an anxiety attack

This is a big decision, so you are wise to wait. Of course you can't make a decision like that until you feel more like yourself
But there are no wrong answers. Whatever you decide will be in your best interests because only you can decide what's right for you- not your therapist.

Is the Ativan helping at all? Have you tried taking it yet? You haven't mentioned it.

I hope you feel better soon

I have taken the ativan. I took a dose this morning when I got up and took a second dose early this afternoon. It is helping to a degree, I'm no longer shaking or crying, so I would say it's helping.

Hi,

You did well contacting the school and learning about the 9 days.
Second guessing the decision making can be exhausting.

Has your therapist been helpful to you with decision making in the past?
Try to trust him and yourself.

Today is the last day to drop classes so I did. It was just too much for me. The only problem is I am now deeply depressed and feel I should go back to the hospital. All I can think about is putting a bag over my head and saying goodbye. I'm tired of going nowhere and being nothing but a burden to my family. My psychiatrist is on vacation until mid October and my therapist hasn't been much help to me lately. I called the national crisis line Friday but they were really no help either. My parents are out of town for the next week so I am home alone and I know no one in the area. I just don't know what to do.
