They pulled out the NG tube (goes down the nose and into the stomach) yesterday, and I had a liquid breakfast this morning that went down very well.
The next step will be to see how I do with solid foods.

When the surgery team came by to see me they said that my doctor wants to “advance (me) quickly,” which means getting me from liquids to solids fast, but when I asked what the odds were I could go home today, they said probably not likely. I told them I NEED TO GET THE F- OUT OF HERE, was desperate to go home, and had been about as patient as I can be. They said that they would relay that word for word to my doctor...

You may think I’m being a baby, but you know how independent I am and I can’t even go to the bathroom by myself as long as I have the IV pole! And that’s just one thing.

I should be able to shower today though... for the first time in a week because I felt too sick to shower last Tuesday and was in the ER at 4am. I usually shower and wash my hair every day.

I am happy that you had a clear liquid breakfast.glad that they took the ng tube out!!!!! yeah!!!!
If they give you a solid lunch then maybe you could go home this afternoon?

I am home.

I'm very weak and tired from being laid up for so long.

Had to go to the grocery store yesterday. Saw my PCP today, but slept through my pdoc appointment this morning. I will see her Friday.

I'm not quite right since being taken off my psych meds at the hospital. Still off Lamictal. So, feeling quite overwhelmed.

I'm sorry I'm not up to reading/posting on the forum yet. But I will get there.

I'm thinking of you all though, and hoping you are all doing okay

I'm out of the woods as far as the small bowel obstruction goes, but I still feel very sick. I lost 11 pounds in a very short period of time.

I am usually very high functioning, so you all probably don't realize how mentally ill I am. I'm safe, but I'm a f'ing mess.

I feel terrible
