I took a 2 1/2 hour nap yesterday!!! And without the assistance of any substance. I think I just got to the point where I was so exhausted I just had to sleep.

I feel better this morning. Not 100%, but better. I've been on the 6mg for 2 nights. When I got better the last time, it took 3 nights on 3mg. So, maybe 3 doses is what I need. I hope so, and I f'ing hope it sticks this time

I haven't asked my pdoc to switch me to Xanax, but I don't think she would because I take so many other sedating meds and I still drive. It's too bad because I think it would probably work better.

The alarms are in the walls, and I guess everyone in this building's sound the same as ours. So, it's not a matter or checking ours out. It's the alarm system itself. So, I don't think complaining about it will get me anywhere.

I tried to knock on Ellen's door yesterday to thank her for being so much quieter on Thursday night. I know she was home, but she wouldn't answer the door. So, I ended up leaving her a note because I knew Corey would be home soon, and would not approve of me thanking them in ANY way. I did tell him what I did, and I was right... he was totally BS.

My nails turned out perfectly as usual. They're painted brick red... a beautiful color. I love getting to see Judy. I'm so happy for her because she and her boyfriend are in the process of buying their first house. She texted me last night to tell me that everything is wrapped up, and they are ready to close soon

I stopped using the Feliway products, and now Dottie has started shredding the corner of the big chair in the living room, and Corey is ready to kill her. So, I bought a plug-in refill for the room, and since that hasn't started working yet, I bought a couple of bottles of the spray, which should arrive on Monday. I also cut her nails way back. So, hopefully all of that will help deter her from scratching. It worked before.

They were quiet last night because they had their granddaughter over. We could hear a lot of stomping, but it's because she's a toddler, so that's understandable.

There's a Patriots game on at 4:30 this afternoon. Last weekend they were f'ing ridiculous, so we'll see what happens today.

I am visiting my friend this afternoon and seeing her apartment so I will miss some of the game...rats.
I wonder how she will take the note. The other day Pudge used my leg as a scratching post and it bled lol. She has done it before but it hadn't bled before.
Good luck with Dottie.

Wow, I find it so interesting that Pudge can scratch and make you bleed
and it seems its okay. It is way to painful for my kitties to scratch and
make me bleed. I hate it if I bleed, even if they scratch me I hate it.

So I'm glad it wasn't that bad. I see you doing so much better Bobby.

Kay,
I hope the new, old stuff helps. I am glad you got the nails trimmed.
We trim the dogs nails but can't catch the kitties long enough to trim
them. Luckily its only usually Angel that gets me. Christina doesn't
like to be petted much and wont let us pick her up unless she wants
to be.
Which I'm luckily one she will let do it.

I feel pretty good this morning, but I'm still a little agitated and have ants in my pants (cleaned kitchen floor at 8am). Maybe I need more time on the 6mg dose, or maybe my pdoc needs to increase my gabapentin, or do something else. IDK, I don't want to add another med, but I would rather treat this aggressively now vs. taking the wait and see approach cuz so far, it ain't working. I see her at 11am.

Our upstairs neighbors weren't home last night. I guess they decided to watch the Pat's game somewhere else so they could be LOUD lol.
I don't know how Ellen took the note. I would expect she would take it in a positive way, but you never know.
I called the office this morning and left a message for Janet/George to tell them that even though Ellen and Adam had people over on Thursday, they were much quieter. And I thanked George for saying whatever he said.

The Pats lost last night. It was a hard game to watch. I can't wait til they get Edelman back, and they're waiting for some injured players to return, but I don't know if that will be enough for them to be serious contenders this year

I hold the kitties like babies when I cut their nails so I can get a good look at, and good hold on, their claws, to safely clip them. Doing Buddy's and Dottie's are super easy, but doing Rocky's nails is always an epic battle, so I let them go for too long. I feel badly about that, but neither one of us likes to go through it... he gets really, really, really stressed out.

Buddy likes to kneed me and if his claws are sharp it can really hurt, and sometimes he will draw a little blood. I know it's time to clip his nails then. And sometime a while back my legs must have been moving in bed because one morning I woke up with scratches and bite marks on one of my ankles. Never felt it. But they took a long time to heal.

I can't believe you let Pudge scratch your leg so long tho Bobby! It must be so sore... take good care of those scratches

I have the pdoc appointment, then I have to go grocery shopping.
I waited too long to do the pick-up service. As soon as I get to the supermarket, I'm going to go to the customer service desk to ask for somebody to put the cases of water in my cart, and I will ask for someone to help put them in the car for me. I can't be lifting all this s-

My cousin had her baby overnight. Isabella "Bella" Jean. She's beautiful at 6lbs 10oz. I guess Heather was a trooper. I saw a picture of her this morning with the baby and she looked fabulous

I looked at my calendar and my pdoc appointment isn't until noon. It's disappointing because I can't sit still and don't know what to do with myself for the extra hour

My pdoc was up in the air about what to do since I've been on/only been on the 6mg dose of Vraylar for 3 nights.

In the past, there was a time when the only thing that broke a months-long episode was adding and increasing Gabapentin, even though I was on a hefty (and ever-increasing) dose of Seroquel.
Gabapentin has also been what we've been using successfully up until now to manage hypomanic episodes.
Unfortunately, the last time I added 100mg, it was activating...

I pushed to increase the gabapentin anyway, and she agreed.
An extra 100mg (total of 500) for two nights
Extra 200mg (total of 600) a night if needed after that,
and I see her in 2 weeks... sooner if I need to.

Hopefully my instinct is right. If I'm wrong, I will know when I wake up, because I'll be climbing the f'ing walls. If I'm right, maybe the gabapentin will work out just as well with the Vraylar as it did with the Seroquel, and squash this episode.

Wish me luck
