It feels SOOOOO GOOD to be home!!!
The kitties did miss me, especially Buddy. Corey is taking care of the cat boxes and feeding duties, at least for now. He's trying really hard to be attentive and helpful. I'm trying really hard to just sit back and accept his way of doing things. We have to go grocery shopping tomorrow. That should be interesting.

Yesterday I got to take my first shower since Tuesday night and it felt just wonderful. I took another one this morning, and it felt just as good

My pain has gotten a bit worse since I've been home. Corey says it's because I've been trying to do too much, and I think he's right. I have the option of taking 2 pain pills if I need to. I reluctantly did that this morning, and am much more comfortable. I should consider doing that again if the first pill doesn't provide enough relief.

It was clear from my first BM that I ended up on the diarrhea side of things vs. still being a little constipated. It will take about another 2 weeks before we can really tell how things shape up. I hope the diarrhea improves.

I had LOTS of liquid diarrhea yesterday, but I think it's because, at least in part, that I can't tolerate the amount of coffee I'm accustomed to. I didn't think of taking Immodium until about 5:30pm- because I'm a dumb a-, but when I took it, it helped. I'm not having the same problem today, so I'm not worried about an infection, etc. But I will still call and let my surgeon know.

I have been taking dilauded, so I haven't been smoking pot. Last night was the first night I was bothered by spasticity. I think that I've probably been having it, but between the pain med and my regular meds, I just haven't been waking up to it. I don't want to smoke MJ while I'm taking narcotics.

For some reason I thought I posted yesterday, but I guess I didn't?
I really don't know what the hell I'm doing lol.

The liquid BMs were NOT from the coffee. They're a result of the surgery I had done. I had been having them about 10 times a day until I called the surgeon's office yesterday, and she told her admin to tell me to take 1 Immodium in the morning and another in the evening, and that really helped. I REALLY hope that things will change for the (MUCH) better over time... the sooner the better.

My pain was a lot better for most of the day yesterday, but I ran into trouble in the evening and had to take another one tho. The pain kinda worries me at times, but I have to keep reminding myself that I only had the surgery a week ago, and a lot of people who have this surgery are still in the hospital and on pain pumps at this point. The bruising from the trauma has started to show up. My pain med will run out very soon, so I will have to start getting really stingy with it and start adjusting to Tylenol. I did take a Dilaudid at 11am this morning tho.

I decided to skip the trip to the grocery store, and was lucky enough to get a grocery delivery scheduled for today between 3 and 5pm. I don't know how the service works because I've never used it before... will do the stairs or not? If not, I will just have them leave the groceries in my trunk, and Corey can bring them up. I had him get me some cash so I can tip them.

I'm trying really hard to ignore things around the apartment that need to be done, and just relax, but it's really hard. Yesterday Rocky left a steamer in the box in the kitchen that was too much to ignore, and I ended up scooping out all of the boxes. That's way too much for me to do regularly right now because I was in a lot of pain afterwards. Corey chastised me for doing it.

I took a walk to the mailbox earlier, which is okay. And I took a shower this morning. I woke up at 9am, and now it's 2pm, and honestly, I have no idea what else I've been doing with my time... SOME sort of relaxing I guess???

At this rate, it will take me F'ING FOREVER to catch up on my reading and posting here!!!
