When I woke up this morning, it was 1 degree out, and the feels like temp was -18 degrees. Now it isn't supposed to rise above 6 degrees, and we will be getting 15-25mph sustained winds with occasional gusts over 40mph. HOLY S- IT'S F'ING COLD OUT!!!

Last night's AFC playoff game was awesome!!! There was a lot of back and forth, so it was an exciting game. The Pats won in overtime, so they will be going to the Super Bowl AGAIN!

Corey finally finished patching that hole in the ceiling. Long story short, he's lazy, and I'm NOT happy with how it turned out. When I said something to him, he f'ing freaked out. So, I just left it alone. I wish I could safely reach the ceiling... but oh well
Since it's obvious that there was damage there, and it was repaired badly, I wonder if they will deduct money from our security deposit?

Janet told me she can show me the downstairs apartment on Feb. 1st after the current tenant moves out, but I have no idea when we may be able to move in. It shouldn't take much to get the apartment move-in ready because the guy wasn't living there long, but working on that apartment probably won't be maintenance's first priority since they are so busy.

I will be lonely and miss Corey while he's gone. I don't know what I will do, aside from sitting on the couch and watching TV. I hope he's able to finish the job by the end of the day Wednesday so he's only away for two nights.

Now we are getting some snow again! That was not in the forecast!!!
It was SOOOO FUN cleaning off my car!!!

I wish corey had cleaned off your car before he left for work.
I know you will miss him he is your companion.

In Corey's defense, he left VERY early Monday morning and had to clean off his own truck, and he did take out the trash for me. It's rare for him to clean off my car for me anyway...
It wasn't easy to do. We got a lot of snow. But I got it done. And my spot got plowed out, so that is good.

We're having a little heat wave today lol. It's 16 degrees out right now (feels like 3), and it's supposed to hit 25 degrees later in the day.
But starting tomorrow, we will be getting a real heat wave... the high will be 43, and Thursday's will be 52!!! But it's going to pour out both days. The weather in New England is f'ing nuts!!!

I'm a little disappointed in myself that I didn't make more of my alone time yesterday. I could have watched movies that Corey won't watch with me, or I could have cleaned the floors at 9pm if I wanted to, but I did a bunch of nothing instead. I hope to make more of my time alone today.

The cats definitely noticed Corey's absence. Rocky was a lot more affectionate with me. Dottie behaved the same way, and I don't think Buddy could be anymore affectionate than he already is. But they were running around the apartment like a/h's all night driving me nuts.

I didn't know/remember that Corey was going away with another guy from work. They don't have to share a room tho. I'm glad he has some company. I think he has a harder time being alone than I do...

I think I did fine last night.

The 2 cats are jeffs cats. He is the one to play with them and sit in his lap. etc. The couple of times Hazel has walked on me while sitting on the futon, she started kneading my pants and snagged them twice thank you very much(NOT)...so I don't let her sit on me anymore.

I hope you are ok with corey gone He should be home soon right?

Buddy kneads me and snags my pants all the time, but I don't get upset because the only time I wear anything but comfy clothes is when I go out. It's happening a lot lately because I need to clips his nails.

My upstairs neighbor, Ellen, knocked on my door yesterday, and she was absolutely frantic. She said that they have bedbugs!

HOLY OCD!!! I cleaned the whole apartment last night, with the exception of the sink and toilet, because I ran out of steam. I was okay with that tho because I don't think that bed bugs hang out in the BR. I will clean it this morning.

Janet (from the office) called early this morning to tell me that pest control will be coming sometime between 10-1 today to do an inspection of all the apartments. She said she couldn't get Ellen on the phone, and could I try knocking on her door to let her know...

I guess Janet left Ellen a message telling her NOT to get rid of the mattress, but they had already thrown it out last night. So... they dragged an untreated mattress with bed bugs down the hallway where it could spread to other apartments!!!

Now, I'm f'ing freaking out. We haven't had any trouble with any kind of bugs, but I'm going to express my concerns to the pest control guys when they come. I hope they treat the hallways/stair case, and all the apartments if the bug that Ellen put in a baggie is indeed a bed bug. I f'ing hope it's not. I don't know what I would do with the cats if the spray is toxic. I have nowhere to put them. I can't even carry Dottie or Rocky in their carriers.

I'm very happy that Corey will be home this afternoon or evening. He knows about the whole bed bug situation, and is really PO'ed. He already thought they were disgusting.

Derrick when he had his first roommate had his roommate had bedbugs.

I'm trying to remember if he still had Wendy his dog at the time. I know
if he did he didn't take her anywhere from the apartment. So if he did
their was nothing that would harm her. From the spray.

But I do remember that the bedbugs were contained to his roommate's
bedroom. But the put the chemical in all the rooms, except Derrick's
bedroom. Because the guy that came said that as long as Derrick kept
his door shut when he was in their or when he wasn't it would be fine.

But that because the rest of the room's had no doors, but the roommate's room and bathroom. And the roommate went into all those room's that to be safe they would need to be done. So they were.
He also suggested that both Derrick and the roommate get these bags that
could be put on the mattress on the bed to protect them from bugs after that.

They bought Derrick's online from Walmart I honestly don't remember what they were called. The only reason that his roommate was bought one, was because the exterminator told my son's provider that the company recommended that they be bought. The company that did his money didn't want to. His provider, said they would then just turn it into the state agency and see what they said. That is my son's provider she wasn't really going to but they decided they would then.

But they came back to check, and they weren't there any more. They did re-check Derrick's room too. If Wendy was there. I believe what they suggested was that Derrick leave Wendy in his room for 24hour. And she was old enough she was fine to be confined in there for a while.

I sure hope you don't have any. If you happen to. See if the other
guy happens to be out of the other apartment, or might be close enough
that your kitties could be stored in there maybe. You could then go
check on them daily, maybe set you up a chair in there with them.
Or maybe the office can find a way to help with them.

My apartment (on the 2nd floor), and the 1st floor apartment we're likely moving into, are not infested. Ellen (3rd floor) definitely has bed bugs. I don't know if the girls in the other 3rd floor apartment have them. She knocked on my door (AGAIN) to tell me that pest control would be spraying the whole building, but that's up to the office, so I'll wait until I hear from Janet about that.

2 guys from maintenance, Todd and Eric, came with the pest control guy. None of them were happy that Ellen and Adam moved their mattress out because they were told not to. The pest control guy was going to check the stair case and hallways to see if they spread the bed bugs, but I don't know if he found anything.

I am still itchy because of all of this. Can you blame me?

While Eric and Todd were here, they told me that we're really going to like the downstairs apartment because it's even nicer than ours
I was really worried that it may not have a hall closet, but I asked, and Eric said it does have one. I feel like I don't have anything else to worry about anymore

They also said that the guy living there now has very little left in the apartment. He's mostly moved out. Maybe I can get a look at it before Feb. 1st after all...
