I found cat puke under the covers when I went to get in bed Thursday night (I threw a towel over it because it was so late). And I when I woke up yesterday morning, there was more all over the office. It was green, and I was afraid it would stain the light beige carpet, but my stain remover was up to the task. It took me FOREVER to clean it up.

Judy texted me to ask me if I could come in early to have my nails done, so I had to rush to get ready if I wanted to get a coffee on my way there. One of my favorite colors I wore when I got gel manicures is now available in the powder dip, so I had that put on. It's called, "I'm Not Just a Waitress." It's a deep shade of red. I love it. And I love Judy
I didn't have a problem with the acetone while I was at the nail salon, but my eczema started to get worse afterwards. It burns like hell. My nails look so pretty, but my hands are so UGLY

For once, I just went back home. I had some work to do here, including changing the sheets. The cat puke had soaked right through. I have a good mattress protector tho.

More cat puke this morning. This time all over the living room carpet. I know it's Buddy. If he's hanging around when I give Rocky his pill, I'll give him an empty pill pocket, and I think that's what's making him sick. I gave him a regular Greenie this morning instead. I hope that's all it is.

Rocky has an appointment Sunday to get his thyroid level checked. He will have to have his blood taken and they will probably take another urine to see if the infection has gone away. I want them to trim his nails too because he refuses to let me do it. He got REALLY stressed out last time we took him to the vet, and they had to sedate him, so I have to give him gabapentin tonight and one 2 hours before his appointment tomorrow. I will try putting it in the pill pocket, but I don't think he'll get it down. I'll probably have to empty the contents of it into one. We'll see. I REALLY don't want to have to shove them down his throat. Wish me luck

Corey said he'll take me out for lunch or dinner today, but only if we skip laundry this weekend. He NEVER takes me out. I don't know why he can't just take me out- without pre-conditions. It will probably be lunch because he will drink, and I have a really hard time driving in the dark, even short distances.

I finally picked some things out for my desk. One of the things isn't available for shipping for some reason, so I have to go to a Staples that really isn't local, but really isn't that far either, to pick it all up (I already bought it all online). There are a lot of restaurants in the area, so we'll probably go out to eat around there... instead of doing laundry.

cat puke under your covers....how awful!
That has never happened to us thankfull.
We have found it various places usually just on the hard floors so it is easy to clean up. sometimes a throw rug which is trickier. and sometimes the guest bed which is easy to clean up for some reason so that is good.

Have a nice lunch!
Maybe next weekend you can suggest going out to eat after doing laundry?

I think he just didn't want to do laundry. I think next weekend you
can tell him you will go out to lunch with him, either way.
But he can chose either you go to eat with him, and then laundry
or he go to eat with you and then he go do laundry alone.

Heehee, take the chose of whether he just go do laundry alone or with
you away. Maybe that will tell him something.

Oh well wishful thinking for me for you. I realize it doesn't work that
way.

We went to a Japanese steakhouse for lunch, but we sat at a table rather than at the grill. The food's the same. I got chicken and steak. It wasn't as good as it usually is, but it was okay. I took home my leftovers, which was a ridiculous amount of food, and ate them for dinner. My stomach didn't like that.

I wore my hair down and put a little make up on, and Corey told me I looked beautiful

I dragged him to Bed Bath and Beyond to get a curtain rod because we need to put up the curtains in the office, but the curtain rod we have doesn't match the decor in there, and would look stupid (I'm going to have to buy new curtains at some point, too). I didn't get the one I wanted because the only one left was damaged, but I found something that will work out. Then we had to go to Staples to pick up the things for my desk that I bought online.

He hates shopping, the stores were packed, and the traffic was horrible, but he survived the whole ordeal, and remained in a surprisingly good mood. I was wiped. It was a long time for me to be out, and I did a lot of walking... feeling it today.

When we got home, I started to set up my desktop, and put things in the desk drawers. I unpacked that box of office stuff FAST. Corey insisted upon switching which side of the desk the printer was on. It does look better, but don't tell him I said that lol. The desk looks really nice

I knew there was no way that Rocky would be able to get that whole gabapentin capsule down, so I just opened it up and emptied the contents into a pill pocket. There was too much of it for me to close it, so I had to put another one on top of it, and roll it into a ball. He ate the whole thing with no problems. I have to give him another one soon because his appointment is at 2:40pm.
Since I started giving Buddy regular Greenies vs. the pill pockets, he hasn't puked (for now). I think/hope that's what was making him sick.

It started snowing last night, and will keep snowing until around the time we have to take Rocky to the vet. Corey brought up the idea of rescheduling the appointment, but I just want to get it over with...

The staff there has been rude to me more than once, and I think they're expensive. I will see how they behave at this appointment, and how much the bill is, and may end up switching vets. Corey said he would pay attention to their behavior, and if they are rude to either of us, he will not let it go without saying something.

I'm not looking forward to going, but I'm sure Rocky will be less excited than I am to go to the appointment.

I had a hell of a time getting Rocky to eat the treat with the gabapentin powder in it yesterday. If I had to guess, maybe I got 50 vs. 100mg into him, but I wasn't willing to try more just in case I was wrong. I didn't want to overdose him.

I guess I got enough of it in him because they didn't have to sedate him to take his blood, but I guess he put up a fight when they gave him his "pedicure" (better them than me). He didn't lose anymore weight! They will call me with his results quickly to let me know if his prescription needs to be changed. Either way, I will have to go pick up more pills.
The staff was different yesterday, and they were very pleasant. And I was surprised that they only charged us $90 for the blood draw and pedicure. I guess we will stay with this vet for now.

Every morning when I wake up, I don't know where I am, and I think I only have one day left to pack up the apartment because we're moving... we've been here for over 2 weeks It's weird. I guess it's evidence of how stressful the move was on me, and those feelings haven't totally worn off yet.

Psych-wise I think I'm doing okay now. I don't feel driven to do things like I was before. I've actually been letting some things go that I usually wouldn't so I can rest.

Physically, I just beat myself to a pulp during the move and cleaning the old apartment, and I'm not much better because everything I do, even walking, perpetuates the pain. I have nothing scheduled for this week, and nothing planned, aside from my regular errands, so hopefully that rest will help.

I have to change my address with the bank and with a bunch of other places, and will start doing that today. I plan on starting to do our taxes, too. I use H&R block software, so it won't take me long. I go back and check my work for errors several times over several days before I file them. That has little to do with OCD. It's because of my cognitive problems.

I would love to run the vacuum, but I don't think I can do it. IDK.

Wait till later in the week and run the vacuum. If it gets bad
then let Corey run it for you.

Let him earn some brownie points.

I'm so glad things are going so well. And looking up.
I really think your move did you lots of good.

Kay,

When people move they experience trauma that takes a while.

Please give yourself some time to recover and move ahead.

I believe that this place will be good to you. Let it give you some time.

++++

I talk to my place a lot. . . . . These days, I thank it.

Yesterday didn't go as planned...

When I went into the kitchen to throw something in the trash, I noticed tons of tiny ants coming out from under where the carpet in the living room meets the kitchen floor. When I looked closely, I found A TON OF S- jammed up against there that the cleaners never got to, and I never noticed. First I got grossed out, then I freaked out!!!

I squished all the ants, then I got out the vacuum cleaner to suck up everything I could, but nothing there was coming up. Then I decided to go around the perimeter of the kitchen, and the s- was in every nook and cranny!!! There was an unbelievable amount of s- around the corners of the appliances. I also noticed that the baseboards were filthy and there were stains on the lower cabinets. You expect that when you move into a new apartment it will be clean... I am so f'ing p'ed off!!!

So, I got down on the floor with 409, Pledge, a sponge, and paper towels, and it took me a couple of hours just to scrub around the kitchen floor and clean the cabinets. I had to let everything dry before I swept the floor, so I decided I needed to vacuum the living room floor while I waited.

I have to let the office know about the ants, but I think that I need to pay them a visit rather than making a phone call. I don't remember if I told you there was a big pee stain going down the base of the toilet when we moved in, and I had to bleach bomb the bathroom? I let that go. I'm not letting this go.

My anxiety is so high just writing about this. I have been inspecting the rest of the apartment, and haven't found anything else YET. I need to finish vacuuming. Hopefully I can stop there. This place feels unclean now. OCD

So much for resting and recovering. I'm in more pain now
