My cough has seemed to go away, but I'm still fighting the sinus infection. And I've had a hard round lump under the left side of my jaw since Monday. I'll wait until I finish my antibiotics before I deal with both issues. I hope that that swollen gland will just shrink on its own.

Corey isn't going into work today until noon because he has a late job. I just made him (frozen) waffles because I have a sink full of dishes already.

I will go out to play the lottery today, but I really need to spend time at home to get some cleaning done. One of us tracked in mud or something, making little black stains on the carpet that I'm going to have to remove. It's going to take me a long time, so I'm not looking forward to it. I'm not particularly motivated to clean lately. A lot of it is because I don't feel well, but my OCD has been fairly quiet too, which is a good thing. I will enjoy it while it lasts.

I need to take this opportunity to clean since I'll be grocery shopping tomorrow, which is draining, and it's hard to clean when Corey is home, and the weekend is approaching.

I am glad that your OCD is fairly quiet....
I am hoping the carpet cleans up nice and easy. I use little shout wipes to spot clean our carpet. they work great!

I ended up having a lot of trouble with that swollen gland under my jaw on Thursday. It would get really painful and really swell up every time I ate, but by Friday morning, the swelling had gone way down. So, I'm very happy because it's one less thing to deal with

I didn't make the most of Thursday. I felt horrible. I went out to play the lottery, but did the bare minimum around here as far as cleaning, and took a long early nap. I managed to get the grocery shopping done tho. I forgot that it was Good Friday, and many people had the day off and were shopping for their Easter dinners. The store was packed. I hate that.

I've been trying to not to take naps here and there. It doesn't work out well. I feel terrible trying to stay up and fight off sleep, and just feel shittier the following day. It's so hard to get up from my naps tho no matter what time I lay down. It's like a 3 hour minimum every time.

Those stains in the carpet start at the front door and lead all the way into the bedroom to Corey's side of the bed. He must have tracked whatever it is in on his boots because it's some kind of oil or grease. Shout wipes are not going to work. I've spent a long time using two kinds of carpet stain removers, and neither one of them can completely remove the stains. I bet Home Depot or Lowes has something that will work, but I'm not going anywhere until Monday. The spots are really bothering me tho, and I know it will take me FOREVER to remove ALL THOSE STAINS no matter what stain remover I use.

I will have to go grocery shopping at some point, and I'm sure I will have a few errands to run, but I don't have anywhere to be until Friday. It would be nice if I could get some cleaning done vs. sitting on my a- or sleeping the day away.

Kay,

I hope you get sleep, whether during the day or at night.

Hubby and I both take off our shoes when we come inside the door.
We have a shelf system by the door.

I walk around in my socks. He's barefoot.

I have two matching (but not identical) rugs in the apartment by the doors. One is by the slider so we don't track anything in when we go in and out to smoke cigarettes, and the other one is by the front door under the coat rack. We're supposed to take our shoes/boots off as soon as we come in. He said he forgot. But I see him wearing his boots in the apartment all the time...
I know he did it this morning because how else did leaves get into the bathroom?
Seeing me on my hands and knees trying to get the stains off the carpet on Saturday obviously had ZERO impact on him. He's such an a/h

At least I'm not cleaning up Buddy's puke around the clock anymore (knock on wood). That was brutal. When Rocky gets his pill, Buddy doesn't get left out because the new treats don't make him sick, and they both LOVE them

I fell asleep on the couch Saturday night and was awoken by a REALLY LOUD high-pitched noise around 3am. It wasn't coming from our fire alarm, or the one in the hallway. It was actually quieter out there. I could hear it in the bedroom, but I wear earplugs, so was able to go back to sleep. When I woke up around 7:30 Sunday morning, it was still going on. It was SO LOUD when I went outside, I was sure everyone in the building could hear it. Corey woke up around 9 (?), PO'ed, and wanting to know what the noise was. He ended up seeing that our next-door neighbor left a smoke detector on a table outside his apartment (probably because he couldn't stand the noise). Corey couldn't get the battery out, so he ended up just cutting the wires, which destroyed the smoke detector, but stopped the noise. Thank God!!! I could kick the guy next door! He had to know it was his smoke detector going off for hours, and he didn't do anything about it! He should have called emergency maintenance rather than put all his neighbors through that!!!
I think I should call the office. I think I will.

We had a quiet Easter at home alone. My brother called, which was nice

I definitely have to go get a carpet stain remover today. Corey wants a couple of other things, so I have to go to Lowes. I'd have to walk all over that HUGE store to get everything I need, so I'm going to try to find and buy everything I need online for pick up. I have a couple of other errands to run that would be impossible to do otherwise. If the online thing doesn't work out, I guess I will have to try to get the other errands done first

I definitely would let the office know about the smoke alarm.
They will need to make sure to put another one up if nothing
else.

You are right, Donna. I didn't think about our neighbor needing a new smoke detector. That's was something that the property manager was concerned about when I went down to the office. He was also upset that our neighbor didn't call emergency maintenance vs. leaving the smoke detector outside, and said he would speak to him.

I went down to the office instead of calling because the DMV sent me a new handicap placard and I needed to let them copy it- not that they have given me a handicapped space yet.

It was too confusing to find the right carpet stain remover online, so I just went to Lowes to look for myself. I settled on one by Woolite called "Insta Clean" because I use their carpet and upholstery cleaner to clean up cat messes, and it's amazing. I was in no shape to clean up all the spots when I got home, but I tried it on one spot, and it disappeared after 2 minutes with just a tiny bit of blotting!!!

Corey is deathly afraid of spiders. Last year, I bought these little baggies called "Stay Away Spiders" by earthkind and hung them in the windows, and put one up behind the bathroom door. They worked really well, so I picked up a bunch of those, and some little Command hooks for them, while I was at Lowes, too.

I made it through CVS after, and then I was done for.

I chipped the polish off one of my nails again. I need to text Judy to see if she can squeeze me in to fix it. I should shower before I text her, so I will be ready if she wants me to come in soon after I do. So, I should get my a- in the shower now, but I'm not exactly feeling motivated to do that at the moment...

I'm sitting on the couch with Rocky to the left of me, and Buddy to the right, and am enjoying my coffee

Thank you for posting the cleaner...we will see if our lowes carries that item. Our dining room has multiple spots on the carpet.
I hope you have a good day!
