My surgeon called me last night... when I was stoned!!! I don't know if she could tell if I was impaired or not, but I doubt it.

She IS waiting to hear back from my gastro, and after she talks to him, I can expect a call from her admin to schedule the surgery
I just hope that they do touch base tomorrow... but I think they will. My gastro already said on Friday that he thought she may be waiting to hear from him, and he knows I need the surgery, so I think he'll get in touch with her.

A couple of things:
- She had a question about the Sitz marker study, and my answer seemed to clear things up for her
- She consulted with an MS specialist at the hospital to ask about any concerns she may have about the surgery and recovery due to my MS, and her only concern was possible problems during recovery due to immobility, which won't be an issue for me
- She tried to get me to switch neuro's, but I told her I'm happy with the one I have, and I want to keep all my doctors local because I can't drive myself into Boston anymore, and
- I told her about the Vraylar. She doesn't seem too concerned about my kidney function prior to surgery, but thought it was interesting.

I will have to go into Boston to meet with the anesthesiologists at some point prior to surgery. Corey will have to take the day off to drive me.

Yesterday I won $1K on a scratch ticket!
I have to drive farther away than I would like to on the highway to the lottery office to claim it (because it's over $600), but I guess it's worth it
I told Corey it's going right into the savings account.

They really are both very nice doctors.

I would have the surgery yesterday if I could!!!
I know it will be hell, but I know it will be worth the suffering.

We need to beef up our savings account, so I don’t want to spend the money, but if Corey wants to buy himself something reasonable, I wouldn’t object because he really doesn’t buy himself anything but tools.

I just had to buy a new printer, but it was only $60, and turned out to be a really good one. I don’t need anything else except for a haircut lol.

Reducing my dose of gabapentin by 100mg really helped. I have felt much better the last two days. I assume I'll have to do the same thing when I increase the Rexulti again in the middle of the week.

lol Bobby... so funny that you picture Corey as a little boy playing with tools!
He's in the construction field, and uses them for work. Every time he gets something new, it's still like a toy to him tho, so your mental pic is fitting
He has bought a couple of expensive ones he needed fairly recently, and a new tool bag, and he was like a kid on Christmas!

For some reason I haven't been able to nap lately no matter how tired I am. So, it's hard to stay up until 9pm. I'm getting up an hour later than usual now, too. Last night I had to stay up until 10pm to drink mag. citrate. Between trying to stay awake, and then drinking that s- half- asleep, I was f'ing miserable...

I'm going to have to take a lot of it over the course of a week to a week and a half before surgery to start to prep, and I'm not looking forward to it. If I could nap, it would be easier to stay awake later, so it wouldn't be as bad...
But I will somehow force myself to do it. I did it for the colonoscopy, so I know I can do it for this, but it is on my mind

I don't know when to expect they will want to book the surgery, but I'm hoping for a date in November. Corey doesn't care when I have it done, he said he will get the days off he needs. We are not worrying about Thanksgiving. All that's important is that we're together.

Only my brother and father know about the surgery. My dad is very upset about the whole thing, and has called twice to ask about the surgery date even tho I've promised to tell him as soon as I know when it will be. I will call him today to update him so he doesn't get too anxious. I know how it feels to hear nothing.

Once I have a date for surgery, I will text my sister about it, but I will have to call my aunts. Neither one of them will understand what I'm talking about via text, and one of them is not really stable, so I will need to reassure her that it's in my best interests.

Kay

Hoping the surgery can get scheduled when you would like it.

I think telling the family after its scheduled. And keeping your
dad up to date is good. I never would tell my family until
things were scheduled, because then they would want to know.

Why it wasn't scheduled yet. But my mom always seemed to
sense something was going on. She would call before I got
a date, or knew exactly that I had breast cancer. The times
I didn't end up having but was getting ready to have an biopsy
were probably the worst times to keep it in.

But I did the first time tell my mom, and she told my sisters.''
