Zypreza may be where your pdoc would have gone with your meds, but I would let her know you started it sooner rather than later...

I really hope it helps your social anxiety
I look forward to hearing about how it works out.

I understand, I'll be sure to tell my psychiatrist tomorrow when I see her, last visit she did say that she thought the best thing for my anxiety would be to get out and experience things although this has helped I'm just getting impatient, I do have some things coming up that I know I might get anxious with.

I have a long-term relationship (lol) with my pdoc, and sometimes if I know I need my meds tweaked on a weekend, etc. I will increase/decrease a med because I know from experience what she would do, but I let her know what I have done as soon as possible...
So I do understand where you are coming from, Barney.

My psychiatrist was happy for me to stay on zyprexa, although she did say only for 4 days but then did say she was was happy to stay on for a month to see how I go , she also said that 2.5mg would be an anxiety dose and 10 -15mg would be a psychotic dose .. currently I'm taking 2.5mg

Also she said it would cause metabolic side effects, it was thought to be dose dependent but now its known to be even with small doses

Everybody is different. Some people don't gain weight on high doses, although that's not business as usual.
