Well Derrick got upset at work today. I hate those kind of

That is wonderful news about Harmony! :):):)
I know that you were optimistic, but still had concerns. I'm sorry about Derrick's bad day. I hope that his provider can cheer him back up  |

Yes, Derrick went with her to take her other client home. He has
known this client for years. And we all know that her guardian her brother is okay with her bringing others with them. It honestly is good for the young lady. It looks like the girl that just took over his being in charge of him. For lack of better word. THinks that he should be used for dishroom, or other areas. But then when he was back in kitchen after an couple hour area of dish. She chose to tell an group of them that she didn't trust him to do an pasta dish, that another cook had been training him on. The other cook had asked if he could do it on his own. She would even let him help. So he decided to take today off, called in to tell them. Got told originally to call back one hour before today. The provider and him called back. He got I believe the big boss, who then asked the cook he had wanted to work under to come her his reasons for not coming in. She told him he could take it off, for that reason. They were busy getting ready for the thanksgiving dinner on Thursday. So he is off today and tomorrow which he is always off. So starting the week after Thanksgiving he will work Monday, Tuesday, be off Wednesday, Thursday and work Friday. I know we had all been wondering if working 4 days a week was too much for him. He just doesn't like to admit it. Donna :grouphug: |
I don't like how she decided to tell a group of his coworkers what she thought he could/couldn't do one bit! People in supervisory positions should know better than to do things like that to anyone because it feels shitty whether it's right or wrong. I wouldn't want to go right back to work either. Poor Derrick. I hope he feels better now :hug::hug:

That is exactly what my friend Shannon said. And he sounded so much better yesterday. And I'm sure that he had an great day today. He was taking Shannon to lunch, because he had an applebees gift card he wanted to spend. I had already told him he could take one of the ladies if he wanted to. So he was taking her. And then he, her niece Grace and her were going to the nutcracker this afternoon. So I'm sure they had lots of fun. Until the new group finally gets there act together and picks him up she isn't getting paid for the time she spends with him. So Im so glad he took her to lunch. Donna :grouphug: |
I'm going to guess no news from Derrick is good news.
I got an unexpected day off. Yah, I was so tired its welcome. We have snow and ice on the ground today. So I'm so glad all the schools got cancelled. I was to be at a case conference at 8:30 this morning, I was not looking forward to that. I hate early meetings. They just aren't fun at all. That driving in this mess even makes them worse. But alas I got a reprieve. And that was good. I'm not sure if it will keep snowing off and on all day. Getting ready to hear what the weather says for tomorrow. But I'm worried about tomorrow's meeting. And I'm not looking forward to taking Derrick to Indianapolis on Saturday, I'm guessing I'll get a call this afternoon from him. That is okay if we cancel. And even though I've already paid the $30 dollars for him to do the activity with the ersikine green group we just might cancel. Because the driving is not going to be easy. Because they had things cancelled today lots earlier than we did. Donna:grouphug::hug: |
