I guess a bed without dogs can be a good thing and a bad thing

I'm glad that Derrick and Dobie have been reunited. Pets really do miss their owners when they are absent, and I'm sure that Derrick missed Dobie a lot, too.

Just for a couple nights, its nice to have no animals. So I can stretch my
legs and not have to worry about hitting one. But I am glad I have one
to sleep with nightly.

Just enjoy once in a while not having one. Especially when I can't
stop coughing all night.

We had a great 5 days, Derrick and I. Dale and Dan also on Thanksgiving.
We loved Golden Corral and the thanksgiving food. We all then went shopping. And have been around all the days.

Donna, It's good to hear a good report of you, Dan, Dale, and Derrick
enjoying Thanksgiving. Also shopping.

Derrick and I went to the newest really neat community center
in Lafayette. They are on the bus route for him. Have lots of
neat things. And on top of that I got him and I both signed
up for the fitness and pool center program. We even got the
discount by doing the buddy program. Luckily he can go or
I can go or we can both go at the same time. Since we both
want at times to go swimming and he needs someone to go
with him. Because of his seizures. Until I find out someone
is going to be able to go with him who has a membership, then
it will be me.

Also learned that his plan will be able to have an personal
trainer at some point. So that will be the next step probably
in January or February.

Derrick did great at bowling yesterday. For some reason though he
had a little trouble. But he still got a 4th place and was really happy.

For some reason though between the 1st and 2nd games the score
board wouldn't let them go to the next game. So they had to wait
for I think 30 minutes. That is never fun.

I was so tired when i got home, just wanted to rest and sleep.
Of course I wish I'd known Derrick's computer was going to act
up. I'd just have brought him and Dobey home so I wouldn't feel
like I was ignoring him by not going back to town to try and fix it.

Its not that I could fix it though. ITs going to take the husband or
a new husband, not that its broke itself. Its the adapter got stuck
in the computer. Stupide thing.

Oh man not sure what to think. I picked up an rough case tonight.

I'm not sure I can help this grandma and her grandson. I'm sure
I'm not getting the full story. I sure wish I could figure out how
to get the email right so I could correspond better with her.

We will see maybe I'll figure it out better tomorrow. I find it odd,
that supposedly the teacher smelled smoke and he got in trouble
for this. Then the other comment was, that in his bookbag was
marijuana. Hmmm, something isn't adding up.

He doesn't have an disability it seems yet. But has been going through
evaluation, just went through some more thanks to the stuff this last
week or so.

Then another of my cases an young girl has been being left in the
office, and was left in a locked room. I am pretty sure this one is
a mess for sure. I'm going to be busy from cases.

But these two aren't on the calendar yet.

The new community center sounds very nice! I hope that you and Derrick get a lot of use out of your pool memberships together!

Maybe they smelled MJ smoke on the boy? And that's what prompted them to search his bag? IDK, just a thought.
And I hope that if that little girl got locked in a room by herself it was accidental. Either way, it must have been scary.

Both cases sound like tons of fun to me!

I'm not sure what to think about the boys case. But I know the girls
case will get fixed. I've gotten so busy I'm not sure what has
gone amock with the cases. My case yesterday went really well
to me. And the person in charge really worked it through. Warned
the parents she had 10 days, to re-write the whole IEP.

WHich is a good thing in this case. Its a long one too.

I was going to a conference this morning. But for some reason my
car. Didn't want to go. It wouldn't defrost, after 20 to 25 minutes.
Which is way to long. SO I chose to not go. Told all I had car
problems, which in a way I did. I just couldn't figure out what the
problem was. It honestly wasn't something that should have taken
that long for the windshield to get clear.

Then I couldn't warm up in the house. I mean really bad. SO not
sure what was up. But I'm better know.

In Indiana, before my parents got a new boiler for the farm house it was so cold upstairs and I have raynauds disorder, so get cold easily. I would stick my feet in the bath tub and run hot water. It felt so good.
The flooring upstairs is ceramic tile and is very cold in the winter.
I am careful to put a towel down to walk on.

I'm sorry that you had problems getting your car to defrost after so long. I'm glad that you didn't go in. Lord only knows what kind of trouble you could have run into if it finally defrosted and you started driving there. Did Dale take a look at it for you?

I HATE it when Corey lowers the heat too much before bedtime. It gets so f'ing cold in here in the morning too often now, and it takes forever to heat the apartment back up! I'm very sensitive to heat AND cold. I guess I just can't be pleased

I'm glad that you're better now, Donna
