That was her goal for today to leave for Indiana. So that is what she
meant. And I think being at 170 yesterday I believe it was means
that she still might be at that. You fluctuate every day it seems, not
meaning just you everyone. So I think saying I hit 170 and I'm
going to get in the 160's when we get back is the thing to do.

I personally think you will do great not drinking, I for some reason
think you have changed how you feel about it. And I think hopefully
Jeff will help you.

Have an safe and fun trip.
And if you read again, bring lots of warm clothes, its to get cold

I'm so hoping she is too. She has luckily for me brought us
some really nice weather. Thank you so much Bizi.

I was so worried it was going to snow and be so bad.

I'm not one that likes the snow as you know. But its been in
the 30's and 40's most of the time.

The trip to my folks in northern IN was a long trip from memphis, it took us 11 hours to get there.I remained AF until we went to my MILs on the 24th christmas eve. I drank.
This is a very stressful environment.
There is much clutter and I feel powerless to help.
There is christmas stuff/wrapping paper, boxes and stuff,
she could be a hoarder. She lets me move stuff around, take stuff out of lower cupboards and take them to the basement where she can't go because she is on a walker. She won't let me do laundry or her clothes that are all over her bed room. It is very frustrating. I don't do well with idle time.
I have been over eating as well as over drinking.
sigh
I am on the lap top and it is difficult to use.
I miss you all.

I would have a very hard time sitting idly by in that mess, especially if a family member could benefit from my help. I know you do not look forward to visits over there for those reasons. I’m sure it would have been hard to stay AF in that environment... too many triggers (((HUGS)))

Just do the best you can. The holidays are stressful and can trigger over drinking and overeating for LOTS of people. As you would say to me, be gentle with yourself

A new year is approaching, and so is the chance for a fresh start (((HUGS)))

We leave tomorrow. It takes 2 days to get home.
Last night we went to a new years eve party at a restaurant/bar.
It had a "silent disco" We each wore a headset and it had 3 channels with color sinced with the different channels so you could tune into red or green or blue. we listened to the red station the most as the other channels were modern music channels. I had never done that before. It ended up being a fun thing/dance music. We all had a good time, except for my brother in law
...it is hard being single/odd person out.
tonight we are having a new years day dinner, lots of appitizers they are eating scallops and I will just eat appetizers as I don't like scallops.
