having a couple of drinks just now. My friend melissa is coming to pick me up and go to a quick dinner and then the musical chicago.
jeff is playing banjo for the show. he basically was forced to play because he could not find any other student to play. Which he did not like and ate up 4 hours when he was to teach but they required him for the rehearsals and thenback to school for classes then back to the center for sound check and the performance is at 7;30. Some how he will get something to eat. She should be here any time now. bizi

We enjoyed the musical even though we were in the balcony.....
loved the movie version better. The band sounded great. Jeff said he had fun. For $104 I would have rather been on the floor. anyway. melissa and I went to eat at zeas and I had thai ribs and corn grits! both were delicious! bizi

I'm so hoping she is too. She has luckily for me brought us
some really nice weather. Thank you so much Bizi. I was so worried it was going to snow and be so bad. I'm not one that likes the snow as you know. But its been in the 30's and 40's most of the time. Donna

The trip to my folks in northern IN was a long trip from memphis, it took us 11 hours to get there.I remained AF until we went to my MILs on the 24th christmas eve. I drank.
This is a very stressful environment. There is much clutter and I feel powerless to help. There is christmas stuff/wrapping paper, boxes and stuff, she could be a hoarder. She lets me move stuff around, take stuff out of lower cupboards and take them to the basement where she can't go because she is on a walker. She won't let me do laundry or her clothes that are all over her bed room. It is very frustrating. I don't do well with idle time. I have been over eating as well as over drinking. sigh I am on the lap top and it is difficult to use. I miss you all. bizi

Bizi,
I would have a very hard time sitting idly by in that mess, especially if a family member could benefit from my help. I know you do not look forward to visits over there for those reasons. I’m sure it would have been hard to stay AF in that environment... too many triggers (((HUGS))) Just do the best you can. The holidays are stressful and can trigger over drinking and overeating for LOTS of people. As you would say to me, be gentle with yourself A new year is approaching, and so is the chance for a fresh start (((HUGS))) |
