It was in a private home and hospice was the provider. Both the home health nurse and nurse practitioner knew of the problem expected me to treat it and
it was the grandson who called me. I don't know who gave him my number.
I should not have done what I did, and I did not have orders to do it and it was beyond my scope of practice.
It is pretty clear cut.
I sent my statement to my lawyer and will see what he says.

I have been calling and getting md verbal orders(some have refused) which makes me mad and one reason that I quit getting orders because I was having so many problems getting them.
And now need to figure out if my fax machine is working because I need to fax over ordersz for them to sign so they can fax me back.
I need to make a flo chart ledger to keep track of things.

This will be my frustrating life from here on out. The state board of nurses now found out about my business which they did not know of and will have to jump thru hoops now from now on.

Went out and bought a 10 column ledger book to help keep track of everything. It is not perfect but will do.
I have a lot of clients at least 150. So that is a lot of keeping track of...I am only doing a few days in advance of my visits....can't handle much more than that.
Put a call into a gal that has done some work for me before. She is a quick learner. She is the daughter of a friend of mine. She is finishing up her college this semester. I just need her to help fax orders to MD's.
Tried to fax some today and had a hard time doing that.
Don't understand my new fax machine. sigh
I am so tech. challenged.
Have been drinking nightly to help deal with stress.
IT is not a great coping mechanism but it is what it is.

Hopefully your friend's daughter can come over and start helping you again.
Also have her help you figure out your fax machine.

She can help make sure its working for you. And tell you how to
make it work. Even maybe write out instructions for you so you can
follow them. I don't care for fax machines so I totally understand.

I personally think your doing great with keeping up with things.
So just keep working through it all. We are here if you need an
ear.

Thank you donna, the phone man is coming out monday morning to check on the fax and line to see if there is something wrong on their end. I really think I want a seperate phone line for the fax machine instead of sharing a line with a special ring which is not working. The fax machine cost $300 and I don't know what another line would cost.
