day 3 is almost out the way.
Ash wednesday started lent. So am trying to live my life healthier. No alcohol until easter. I am hoping to drop at least 10 pounds. No snacking after dinner. Will try this intermitant fasting....my therapist lost 68 pounds just eating with in a window of time. I think my time window will be from 11am to 7pm. That is a 16 hour fast. I will also lower my carb intake when able. and portion control...this has to make sense if I will be able to follow this diet. I weighed 185 this morning...hoping to be 175 by easter. wish me luck. bizi

Congratulations to Jeff! That is a really special honor he is receiving! I know you must be very proud of him, and I hope he is proud of himself. How wonderful!

alcohol bloat going away quickly 182.5 this morning...
I was 190.8 wednesday morning! My pdoc tried to get me off klonipin a year ago and change meds around and I got manic. I was able to cut back to .5mg of klonipin at nite instead of 1mg so that was good ...she has left it alone. I saw her last week and she always checks off what my condition is for billing. She asked me about my mood. I told her that I had been hypo manic during the first couple of weeks after the letter of complaint. but that I was just a bit elevated now. So she put on the discharge sheet hypo, PR which I believe means partial remission. and she did not check social phobia which she usually does probably to justify using the klonipin. What ever. I told her of my problems and she was genuinely concerned and did not give me a hard time about my drinking again. bizi

Slept in late and saw one client today in the morning,
I am very fond of her. This morning I weighed 182.5. This was my first day Intermittent fasting here in after referred to as: "IF" We went to chris po boys for lunch like normal. We had lunch at noon , chicken and sausage gumbo and a big bowl of cabbage with a remulade dressing. After lunch I had my hair colored and cut short. This is the shortest it has been in a long time. While there I drank unsweetened hot tea. I like the cut. I had an ounce of cheese before dinner at 5:30 beef chili with onions, mushrooms and a few black beans. It had a small amount of cheese and sour cream. Tonight while watching an episode of LOST...I did not snack. I had some hot tea. And now I am drinking a diet rootbeer. Both sweetened with stevia, a natural sweetener from a plant. It is the only sweetener I use, so when I say 'diet" this is what I mean so I don't keep repeating myself. After dinner I layed down for a while and rested. Then we went to a concert on campus. There were students playing Traditional music, blues, cajun, and bluegrass. They played pretty good. It was entertaining. 4th day alcohol free=AF Am headed to bed early, stayed up till 1am last night then could not get to sleep until 3 so that is why I was tired today. bizi

You lost a lot of weight very fast just by going AF for 4 days! That's great!
I'm so glad that you opened up to your pdoc and she didn't give you a hard time about your drinking. I think she realizes that you just need support right now Her billing should be separate from what meds you need. She doesn't have to check off every condition you are diagnosed with you have if you didn't discuss those issues at that appointment. I hope that the IF helps. I remember you posted links to articles about it in the past, and from what I read, it makes sense, and has worked well for a lot of people I'm sorry that you couldn't fall asleep last night. What a night to do it, when we lost an hour! It's no wonder why you are so tired! Do you think you will take a nap? Or do you think that will just make it harder to fall asleep tonight? I'm so glad you like your haircut!
