Donna,
I have known for 20 years that I needed doctor orders and used to get them but had such a hard time getting them that I gave up. Saying to my self...It is just a pedicure, why do I need orders. so for years I have not gotten them. I took on a client that I should not have. and now I am the scape goat. the home hospice nurse and the nurse practitioner both put it off on me. I performed out side of my scope of practice with out doctors orders. That is a $10,000 fine right there. I will hear from the lawyer in the next couple of days. bizi

3 weeks ago I fell and hurt my ribs....They are still painful, thru out my work day, but are much better.
I am awaiting a note from my lawyer. Am anxious to hear what he has to say in regards to my statement. The state board of nursing is like the firing squad. guilty unless proven innocent. IT is not fair. bizi

From my work as a CNA in hospitals, I know how much emphasis is put on a CNA or nurse's "scope of practice" in my state... I'm so sorry (((HUGS)))
I hope that, if anything, they just fine you I think that the RN and NP being there and letting you work on the patient muddies the waters a little and may help your case because they had a responsibility to look out for the welfare of the patient, and apparently didn't see anything wrong with you doing it I hope your lawyer is pleased with your statement, he is encouraging, and can give you some positive feedback (((HUGS))) I'm sorry that you ribs still hurt You must have cracked or broken one or more of them. |
