Red face

worked late and missed the AA meeting

so went to dinner at fat pats with hubby and had 3 beers.
a delicious cheese burger with sweet potato fries.
yum!
I think that will be all of the alcohol to drink tonight...
I must get a good nights sleep.
bizi

Went in to the office of Pdoc and told elaine about my concerns...not sleeping. Asked for klonipin again....after several telephone conversations I still have not heard from her again.
she wanted to know how much coffee I drank and at what time did I stop and how much alcohol I was drinking and what time did I stop etc.
She wanted to put me on trazadone and I said no that I went manic on it and could not tolerate it. Dried me out so much that I had to try to sleep with my mouth open...I did not sleep.

Bobbie, I don't practice a personal religion. I never pray. I think we can bless each other. If I call myself anything I would say that I am a Unitarian.
One god....am not a christian. I have gone to unitarian churches/fellowships for the past 20 years. They do not have a creed where you have to believe the way they do or your out like so many other religions. I was very involved int he UU fellowship here and became overly involved and went manic and had to drop out.

I guess I would have to say that I am agnostic when it comes right down to it. People who pray before foot ball games are ridicules. I don't believe god has control of the weather or foot ball games.

drink some chamomille tea but I don't think that will help. I hope you don't get sleep deprived. It is the pits.
Thanks so much for your answer! I used to go to a Unitarian church for a while. I loved the sermons and the music.

When I first read that you went to Fat Pat's, the first thing I thought of was their cheeseburgers! I know how much you like them
I'm glad that you could stop at 3 beers. That was good.

I'm sorry that you had to miss the AA meeting because you worked late. Did you ever call your sponsor?

I'm happy that you called your doc's office. I would have declined the Trazodone, too. Did you ask for more than just the Klonopin? I hope that you hear back from her soon (((HUGS)))

I hope you start feeling better soon, Bizi.
Love & Hugs

Bizi

I hope you hear back from your pdoc. I know it has to be frustrating
trying to explain your needs.

I also wish you could figure out a way to get some sleep. I wish
I could help you figure out how to not be in the state your in
not knowing the exact name.

We are in a heat advisory, warning. Ugh hate this weather.

Thank you!
After many conversations and such with my pdoc office staff yesterday and today. I finally just said that I have been hypo for 5 weeks. And that my sleep has been off for as long.
Well that made a difference.
I am to increase my zyprexa to 15mg for the next 3 nights to stop the hypo mania....which I don't think will be long enough. I am supposed to call on monday to see how I am doing.
She only wants me to have 1 cup of coffee in the morning and if I am to drink alcohol drink it earlier in the evening as that will effect my sleep.
Still just take the melatonin as before.
I am hoping that I will not have these impulsive/compulsive addictions out of control.

Bizi ~ Usually sleep stops the hypomania, but when we are in that state of mind, it's very difficult to sleep. Zyprexa is really good in stopping mania, have been on this drug before and it's soo calming to the brain. Wishing you luck with stopping the Hypomania.

How much Melatonin do you take. I am starting out at 2.5 mg. I did take 10 mg one night and was very dizzy the next morning.

I have poor impulse control over my spending and have been hanging out at the QVC TV channel lately myself and that is one place that I got into trouble with and am now in bankruptcy. Over spending for me is self soothing. Oddly, I get this "ahhhh haaaa" feeling once I hit "send" for a purchase online. Don't get the same feeling when I go into a store.

Sorry you missed your AA meeting. I have a close friend who just went back to drinking after 12 years dry and is having out of control issues now - behaviorally, pushing everyone away/raging, etc.

Take care,

Blue

Bizi. Hoping the med increase helps.

I so enjoy hearing about the delicious food you eat. My appetite has been poor lately so reading about delicious sounding food is enjoyable.

I don't like the agitation I feel when hypo. I have to just keep my mouth shut.

How much Zyprexa does it usually take to bring you down?
I hope that the 15mg dose can at least take the edge off and make you a little more comfortable over the weekend (((HUGS)))

I know how hard it is to sleep when you are hypo/manic, and not being able to do that can make you feel miserable and more irritable and/or agitated. At least I can get stoned and sleep if I'm not flying too high. I wish that your pdoc would give you some Klonopin. In the meantime, hopefully the Zyprexa helps, and maybe the Melatonin does something

How are you feeling today?
