I'm so glad that the meeting went well, and that you have a sponsor you like! I hope that her degree in theology turns out to be a good thing. If they are truly free-thinkers, then they won't try to push anything on you, but may give you a lot to think about.

I am meeting her this

tuesday at her house at 7:30pm.
WE are going to use the big book.
She asked me if she could pray for me,
silent pause on my part.
Then I just said sure if you want to.

She said that was the perfect answer.
Tolerance is what we strive for, she said.
We shall see how it goes.
Jeff bought me a book:
Under A-rest....Reflections on the

twelve steps by Paul Hedderman.
I am going to start reading it tonight

and this weekend.
I think it will help me process the steps.
The big book is really religious...
so I am not sure this is going to work for me.
Any way I will see on tuesday how it goes.

I have the AA book. I have read it, and found parts of it useful/interesting even though I am not religious. You kind of have to take what you want and leave the rest. I used a hi-lighter and paperclips when I was actively reading it, so you know there really are good parts. The book is somewhere in a huge box in the closet now. I wish I had it close at hand so that we could discuss it.

It was really nice of Jeff to buy you the book about the 12 steps. I'm glad that he's being supportive. I hope that the book helps...
I think with all the reading you are going to be doing, you will probably be spending less time on the internet, which is a good thing (((HUGS)))

I have had people ask if they could pray for me before. I think that is a nice thing because it means that someone wants to let you know that they are thinking of you, and wants to address their concerns for you in their own way, but they want to respect your boundaries.... so I think as far as the subject of religion goes, you will be fine

I'm really looking forward to seeing how things go with your sponsor on Tuesday. She sounds like an interesting woman. I hope that you remember during your one on one meeting that you have a voice of your own, and are always free to use it (((HUGS)))

My book will be in on wednesday.
I read a bit of the book that jeff got me last night.
IT seems good so far.
The melatonin really works for me happy to say.
I am groggy in the mornings after a good 7-8 hours sleep. I am going to stop taking the zyprexa because the melatonin works so well. I am taking per pdoc instructions 2 different ones, a quick and a long acting one.
Any one who has trouble sleeping they really work!

hi there!
We made it home last night.
All is well here...not sure of surrounding areas.
tornadoes have been seen in areas around baton rouge, about an hour away from us.
We took the vwery long way home to avoid Baton rouge last night so it was a couple of hours longer...took us 10 hours to get home.
though an hour of that was stopping in alexandria for a nice italian dinner.
